"7 hours is a LONG time to rock back & forth on a train. But, the scenery is good, and so is the food at lunch stop. But whatever you do, don't try & use the hose in front of the station in Antonito - a woman came out and said "we have to pay for that water!". I'd like to point out that yes, they do pay for it, by collecting $144 per person for the cheap seats!"
"We were fortunate to choose a warm, cloud less day with perfect fall colors. The trip of a lifetime. Kathy was a great guide and server. The parlour car was comfortable and restored to its original beauty. Food at the lunch was great and met me vegan needs. The company did their best to deal with a flat tire on the return bus trip. Thanks for a great day."
"Had a fabulous time from Chama to Antonito. Other passengers on the train made it extra special, felt like old friends meeting up for the first time. The volunteer Doc and his counterpart sharing their knowledge was absolutely fantastic. Toni who works in the beverage car was the absolute best!! We will definitely be back next year."
"Wow, wow, wow. We went in early October, and the season was just right for color. Buy the most expensive ticket you can. We did the parlor car and it was a delight. Everything was well thought out from start to finish. Riding on the last car, we were the only ones able to ride on the rear platform. Can't wait for the grandkids to get old enough to go, we are coming back!"
"Beautiful ride! The scenery is spectacular! Great, friendly, knowledgeable staff! Excellent lunch! They even had vegan and vegetarian options. This train ride was fabulous in just about every way possible."
