About the Business
Central Park Recreation Center, located at 9651 Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard in Denver, Colorado, is a state-of-the-art gym and health facility. Beginning May 10, the center will be installing solar carports in partnership with Denver's Office of Climate Action, Sustainability & Resilience. Some parking spaces may be closed during the installation, but operations will continue as normal with alternative parking available.
This Regional Level recreation center offers a variety of amenities including group fitness classes, weight and cardio equipment, a gymnasium, and two multi-purpose rooms. The indoor pool features a lazy river, splash area, 25-yard lap pool, slide, and pool party room. Adult Water Walking classes are also available.
In addition, Central Park Recreation Center offers Active Older Adult (AOA) classes and free membership for residents ages 60 through the MY Denver Prime program. Visitors can view the facility photo gallery online.

"I go water walking every weekday with my friends. We arrive at 6:30 am. The lifeguards take their job seriously: attentive, consistent and friendly. The front desk is very welcoming. I’ll miss Sam who was let go because of budget cuts. My husband and I have attended two senior luncheons which were delicious and enjoyable. In addition, I attend the Grands quilting group twice a month. Years ago I took our granddaughter to tots swimming for 1.5 years and now she swims like a dolphin. The lockers rooms are large and clean with built in locks. The showers have nice hot water. There are 2-3 family rooms for showering and dressing. I feel so grateful to have this facility in Central Park. I hope there will not need to be any more budget cuts. Bravo!"
"Very nice location with a great view of the Rockies from the top floor cardio equipment. Basketball court, child care, classes, cardio/weight room, and a pool (currently closed). I'm only giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the weight room needs to be expanded. There are always people waiting for equipment and not enough free space, so it can be hard finding a spot to workout without being right on top of someone else."
"Denver’s Central Park Recreation Center is a hidden gem. It is a gorgeous facility that offers all sorts of activities for the mind, body and soul. I was introduced to the center through a meeting in the Multi-Purpose room. Visiting the center was an eye opener. There is ample parking in covered spaces. The layout of the facility is open and inviting with enough exercise equipment available to eliminate fear of waiting. Last, but not least, the staff is warm and helpful."
"It's always a peaceful place to bring the family. It's a clean and decent area. A beautiful place to capture moments that reflect a good time. The sidewalks are intact. The grass is well maintained. Spacious area with plenty of room for multiple groups to enjoy at the same time. The parking lot is safe. Your vehicle can be clearly seen for the most part. Ducks and geese are often seen and easily willing to be in your background especially if you have some bread. My family loves this park. It is worth a visit. Also, check out the history of the area. It used to be Denver's airport. The old tower is still seen in the background."
