"We took our child--who was in the 2nd grade at the time--to see Dr. Kerrie Hill, who was recommended by a friend of a friend. It was an absolutely miserable experience. First, Dr. Hill's office was messy and run down. It wasn't comfortable to sit in and was even more inhospitable and uninviting to a kid. Second, there was no formal evaluation process of our child, just a loose gathering of information through conversation and some questions we had to take home and fill out. Third, Dr. Hill made little to no effort to engage with our child. All conversations were mostly with us, for the duration of the appointments. Fourth, and I can't stress this enough, Dr. Hill MADE NO SENSE. She spoke waves and waves of psycho-babble that never added up and made no practical sense. It left us confused and empty handed. We weren't learning anything about our child and were never given any tools or resources to help us with what we were going through. And THEN, on our last appointment, Dr. Hill told my child--without any pretext and without consulting us beforehand--that she had Aspergers. Not only was it a complete misdiagnosis (we even knew that much at the time), but it was an absolute breech of trust and procedure. I cannot emphasize how bad this experience was."
