Kimpton Hotel Monaco Denver

"While nicely designed, the room was terrible in that it completely lacked noise insulation and therefore made getting a restful night of sleep extremely difficult. We were traveling with our kids and we could hear every word of conversation from the adjoining room. We knew exactly when the people in the adjoining room came back (after midnight). We could see light from underneath the door to the adjoining room and resorted to stuffing pillows there as a noise and light barrier. In addition, there was a ridiculous slope to the room with a visible incline to the desk and one of the beds (photo attached). When we called the front desk to voice our concerns, the only alternative offered was a room next to the elevator, which was not a reasonable solution given the lack of noise insulation between the room and hallways (there was a visible gap under and around the door as well). The staff was overall kind but this was one of the most disappointing stays we have ever had at a Kimpton. We would definitely not return."

"Room was extremely noisy. I could hear conversations, TV, and bathroom use in adjacent rooms. Throughout the night, you could hear pipes and other mechanical noises that prevented me from sleeping. Wifi in the room was so slow I ended up disconnecting and getting faster service through my cell provider. I should have read the other reviews on these matters and chosen another hotel. Further, hotel charges an additional $27 per night "resort" fee that was not disclosed at time of booking. This hotel does not match up to the quality of other Kimptons I've stayed in."

"I had a wonderful stay during a conference at the convention center. My room was clean and included a nice sitting room, well designed, in great condition. It was quiet. Comfy bed... Amazing retreat from the busy conference and Denver. Gym was small, but there, weights and some cardio machines. Not a location I'd pick for vacation, but perfect for a conference or other need to be in the area."

"My stay here was exceptional for the price per night. I was on a solo trip exploring the city. I felt very safe walking to nearby places downtown. The staff was helpful and friendly to my needs and requests. I had an issue with my room but it was fixed within the hour. The coffee and tea in the morning was an added bonus to my stay. Will return to the Kimpton for my next stay in Denver."

"Great service. Brought my pups. Very comfortable here and the staff are awesome, especially Alyssa. Very caring during check-in making sure I was taken care of. Anyone new should definitely spend a day with Alyssa!! I felt very welcomed. Hotel is in a great location too. Next to restaurants, parking, and 16th street mall."
