"Long story of going back and forth with dealer and Scott's over a "brand used" car overheating. They did the inspection and offered some discounts to make the work more affordable. Little over $3k later, still couldn't fix after all they swapped out (fluids, parts, etc), so they recommended a new head gasket, saying current one likely went bad. This would've cost another $3k. Worked things out w/ dealer and they checked it out. Car was fixed after swapping out radiator cap and thermostat (which Scott's claimed to have done as well, also on receipt). Dealer put about 20 miles on it, no issues. We test it out, driving home then for another hour and change. No issues at all. Thankfully, dealer charged nothing when they could've, and it would've been a few hundred at most if they did. Two stars for Scott's because they were polite and gave us some deals, but it seems like a misdiagnosis or bad replacement parts on their end"

"A funny thing happened on the way to the oil change. Ten years after I bought a new car from a local dealer, I was still getting the oil changes at this dealership - accompanied by a coupon. When no coupon from them arrived, and a mailer from Scott's did, I took the chance and had one done there. While waiting for it to be done, Brian informed me of a special deal there for various other maintenance processes I was needing to have done, which I, thus, had done. The whole process was quite pleasant and professionally performed. If I remember his name correctly, a young man named Kevin was a high point for his sensitivity and personality. And Allen! Allen! Allen!"

"They were able to get vehicle in right away, communicated to me what vehicle stuff was absolutely needed and what can wait for next trip in. I think everything has gone up in price so if i was to say they were a little pricey, they probably were not. I think considering they were able to get my work done, i should count my blessings. I found they were all friendly and at the end of the day YES i would go back and i would recommend the shop to anyone. I had front and rear diff fluid changed, oil and filter, transmission fluid changed, cabin air filter changed."

I have had a number of negative experiences from other shops in town but from start to finish I'm very pleased with the service I received at Scott's Automotive. Several times I tried to get my vehicle serviced but got negative results and was unable to find the problems and fix my car. Scott's in very little time found and made the needed repairs and even gave me a loaner vehicle while working on my car. Their prices were very fair and made it possible for me to get everything done needed. Very pleased with Scott's Automotive."

"I took my 2005 Subaru Legacy Outback 2.5 xt. I was happy with my overall experience with Brian the customer service rep at Scott's Montrose Auto Repair. Because of something that wasn't there fault it took a day longer then quoted, but I was already expecting it be without my car for a couple of days.
