Applebee's Grill + Bar

"Went there and my food was not good. The steak was undercooked from what I ordered. The bites I took were chewy and practically all fat. I asked for a different steak that was cooked to my order and they brought me out only half the steak that I ordered! (Only 4oz vs the 8oz that I ordered!) My mashed potatoes were tasteless and COLD!! On top of that. It took so long for the manager to come and “fix” the food that everyone at my table was already done eating before mine came back out. And all the manager did was take a few dollars off. So what she took them off because she only gave me half a steak! The only good food was the neighborhood beef nachos."

"Arrived 1130. Said there would be a 30 minute wait. We had a geoup of 8 so understandable. However there were plenty of sections that could accommodate us. They just wished to not use them. Seated after 43 minutes. Ordered drinks for everyone. Had to ask 3 different times for an additional glass of water for my son. Both he and I ordered burgers and fries. Food arrived. Burger was OK. Probably both recieved 12 fries total on the plate. Almost like we split a real order of fries. Waiter did replace waters without having to ask. However the waters had like 4 ice cubes total. Water was room temperature at best."

"Over a dozen empty tables, and yet they have 4 employees standing around at the hottest station and yet at least a 25-minute way to seat tables of 2 and 4. Staff do not act friendly even with each other. There is no specific outright fighting, but it does make for an unpleasant atmosphere. Food was ok. Less than 1 tablespoon of dressing for the salads left the salads a bit dry and nearly flavorless. The Ceasar salad had most of the dressing as a hidden blob. Had that been better distributed before over half the salad was gone, the salad would have been better. The chicken was very salty. But the mashed potatoes are good. I would not recommend eating here unless you're desperate to eat here for some strange reason."

"First of all, being told there's a 15 minute wait when there's at least 10 unseated tables is getting old. This "understaffed" excuse for everything at restaurants for the last couple of years is just nonsense. I'll let you in on a secret, having worked in restaurants for 20 years, every restaurant in the history of restaurants has always been "understaffed." People were just expected to work. Food was ok. Service was pretty bad. She was clearly flustered when it wasn't busy ( this was a Wednesday evening,) and made a comment about being stressed when she first came to the table. Never checked if our food was ok, never asked if we needed more drinks or anything, and then dropped our check when we were half done eating. I guess no dessert tonight... I get it, it's Applebee's, not a 3 star Michelin restaurant, but you still expect a little effort, especially if people are hoping for a tip."

"Friday night 8 pm, got in and seated in 5 minutes, a lot of college kids, service was good and food still came out fairly quick, only bad thing never got drunk refills and asked about deserts"
