"Rent payment has been difficult as the balance appear at random times and at the end of the month, leaving only a day or two and sometimes no email is send to inform tenants. When the issue is forwarded to the front desk, some people are very unfriendly and reluctant to solve the issue ( which is relatively easy to solve). Although this moght not be a severe issue impacting life quality, the way some of the staff deals with tenants is really annoying."

"Had the most difficult time trying to even schedule a tour. I was able to put down a time on their online appointment portal just to get a call saying that I had to confirm if I was a student or staff, and that the tour wouldn’t be guided, AND that the office was going to be closed. Why ever have that time as an option? Why make someone jump through so many hoops just to see the place."

"Moving was mostly perfect. The apartment was clean and ready. Thank you again to the maintenance crew for helping us expedite our move to appease a winey woman child (Karen in the making) Maybe a good reminder to tell new tenants to air out the rooms from the cleaning process. Moving things up the stairs was okay. Trying to use a cart dolly was just making it more work except for the large furniture. I recommend you loan the use of the stair dolly (with the treads) for any new tenants bringing large items up the stairs. Thank you again, Loving the place!"

"This is my third year here and my experience with the apartment and the service itself have been good. Good size apartment with a little too big bathroom. Washing machine and dryer are included in my apartment. They always have nice monthly activities. Why 3 stars? 1) Aspire promotes themselves as exclusive graduate and faculty living. No. My assigned roommate is an undergrad who does not seem to know how to live with other people. Foods were stolen, dishes were used without any permissions, washing machine and dryers being occupied for many days, rarely clean the mess after cooking, just to name a few. Granted that I might be unlucky, but what they said is not true. 2) I have an allergy for dogs and cats fur, the information I provided. What happened? They paired me with a person with both. Luckily, that person contacted me beforehand so we got this solved. I did not plan to write a review but the sign tick me off. I would love to give you 5 stars, It is a great place to live. But, with these two instants alone, I can't. Please be honest with what you said and be more thoroughly with everything."

"I have lived in these apartments for over a year and continue to live here (August 2017 - September 2018). Since I am not a student and from out of town I actually find the rent prices here relatively affordable (much better than NY/SF prices). But I understand how students, postdocs and regional residents find the prices expensive / not value for money. Overall I find this place reasonable and relatively safe. It's convenient to get to the groceries and to get to work. Pros: Maintenance is very good and respond immediately. Buildings are relatively new. Dogs and cats are welcomed. Bus stop outside allows me to get FREE transport everyday. Garbage disposal is straight forward. You get occasional community events like free summer bbqs and breakfasts. Cons: Expensive for students and people on low budgets. Units are made of cheap, poor quality materials. Occasionally loud and can hear neighbors partying. On days during football season the parking lot is full of outsiders watching the game and no one checks cars. Dogs are welcomed if you are not a dog lover/have allergies. Best situation to live here: if you are single, plan to live here for a short time (less than 2 years), have a pet and are paid a salary above a graduate student/postdoc stipend. Honestly, I feel sorry for students who have to live here but are priced out / have a bad time with the leasing office / are conned by BBC."
