"I highly recommend Iowa Allergy. Every staff member is kind, knowledgeable, and cares about you as an individual. I was first tested for environmental allergies a little over a year ago and after trying Zyrtec, Claritin, Flonase, and other medications; while seeing little to no improvement , Dr.Nayima suggested trying allergy shots. I was hesitant to start allergy shots because of the frequency and I’m not a fan of shots (who is right?). However, my allergies make me miserable, so I decided to give it a whirl. To my surprise, the shots are easy to get over my lunch or after work. The nurses give them and it only takes about 10-15 minutes. The needles are also smaller than I thought, that was also refreshing :) Long story short, I continue to get my shots every 3 weeks and have seen significant improvement. I'm ecstatic to say I haven't had itchy eyes, a runny nose, or sore throat in over a year! I'm not sure if they would work for everyone, but they have definitely helped me. I'm able to spend more time outside and with my pets without suffering from the allergens after. I can actually enjoy being outside again! Not to mention, my coworkers are probably happy to not hear me sniffling and blowing my nose all spring and fall :) Great place, with wonderful employees!"
