Partnerships in Prevention Science Institute (PPSI) is a research institution located at 2325 North Loop Drive in Ames, Iowa, United States. Through our work, we emphasize the development of implementation systems and training-technical assistance infrastructures for broader dissemination of evidence-based interventions. We believe that partnerships with communities are essential for creating positive, long-term outcomes for youth, adults, families, and communities. PPSI collaborates with scientists and practitioners nationally and internationally to support our mission.
Our PROSPER project has been recognized as a Tier 1 Comprehensive Community Initiative with positive impacts on child, youth, and family outcomes. A report by Trust for America’s Health has championed PROSPER for its effectiveness in reducing substance abuse and behavior problems among high-risk youth. Our investigators and collaborators have secured over $80 million in grants, primarily from the National Institutes of Health, over the last 25 years.
