"I’ve been with Dr RC for years and she was also my pain management Dr. We had a great relationship with never any issues. Recently I requested a refill on my pain meds nothing out of the ordinary. She sends me a message back that I’ve been terminated from the pain program. I try sending messages back for an explanation and all of them went unanswered. I tried to call and they blocked my number and removed everything from the portal app so I couldn’t access anything. I ended up using a different phone to call them and was directed to a manager. They told me Dr RC doesn’t need any reason to terminate me and they don’t have to give me any answers to my questions. They claim everything she did was legal. Then I found out that my GI Dr which is also with Iowa Clinic will no longer see me either even though the manager said they wouldn’t be effected by any of this. Now I have to find a new primary care Dr and explain I have no idea why I was terminated since they won’t provide me any information. Even if Dr RC did this legally it is extremely unethical and honestly disgusting for a human being to do this to someone they’ve had a good long standing relationship with. I’ve referred numerous patients to her over the years and now all I can think is I hope she doesn’t screw then over as well. I am disgusted by her, her nurses, and the managers. They made an oath to help patients but instead they drop them with no answers as to why. I haven’t been able to get my medications because my new pcp didn’t have an opening for over 30 days so that has affected my health and my mental state drastically. She may have great reviews but she’ll turn on you at the drop of a hat. Do yourself a favor and run the opposite way. I can’t even explain how much this has affected me and I feel stupid for ever trusting her."
