"I was hoping to get an appointment with a provider that I had experience with in the past. But the front desk is not very friendly and actually quite harsh to talk too. I decided to go to another clinic completely. Words of advice, Iowa Clinic North, you are only as good as your front staff. If they are not friendly and welcoming, people will go elsewhere."

"(Re writing my review because my original seems to have been removed from their Google page) CAREFUL, SURPRISE CHARGES I went in for a yearly physical back in October 2023, and over the course of 4 months received 2 unexpected bills for over $300. I was charged because the visit was changed to a consult and surgery service -- without any warning from the doctor or staff. I was charged because flu vaccinations count as 2 different services. I was charged because the bloodwork, which I had never been charged for before from other providers during my yearly check-up, counted as a separate service. I originally rated this experience "2-stars" because I understand healthcare in the US is unnecessarily complicated. I down rated this experience to "1-star" because it looks like they actively removed my original review AND I received the 2nd bill earlier this month."

"I came in for the physical wellness checkup on December 19th. I didn't know I was being changed for just one question that the provider named Taylor Johnson recommended me to take the Benadryl. It's $127 for just one question that I thought was part of my physical.She didn’t say that if she replies that question it is not being part of my physical checkup or I have to make another appointment. They charged you without warning. This is ridiculous and very unprofessional billing people. I now know to respond with just "no" going forward. Really feel like being scammed. Everyone watch out for this clinical and make sure you ask questions if that includes in your yearly checkup or going to charge you for “outpatient visit”."

"Went in for a yearly physical with my wife. Got us in on time and where friendly. Problem occurred when we answered questions honestly about how we were doing. Wife has problems sleeping and told the doctor as such. Was told don't use screens and try taking a Benadryl. Thought everything was good until we got a bill for $127 for outpatient visit. Called to ask why since it was just a physical but was told since we didn't answer the questions with a "no" it turned into a consult. If they would have told us we would be charged for that 5 mins of advice we would have just said we are fine. Like we told the doctor, we where getting blood work done and needed a physical since we might have a virtual consolation after it is done. (Merrick Health does blood work but if you see an affiliated doctor they want a physical first) So yeah for a physical make sure you say you are doing fine and have no issues otherwise they are going to charge you without really doing anything. (The advice was not worth the charge) The best part? The clinic would have made more charging for a physical through my insurance instead they lost out by charging us for a visit. So watch they will charge you for things and not give you any prior warning that there will be a charge so you can decline the service."

"This clinic has been fantastic. Dr Schupp has been fantastic treating my wife who has a rare disease. Part of her treatment is physical therapy. We walked in for her PT appointment today and she was welcomed with a happy birthday. Her experience with PT has been so much more to us than just treatment. Wendy is so awesome the way she interacts and engages with my wife. Today she even gave her a card and flower for her birthday. I’m sure this is just the type of person Wendy is but I can’t express how much more this gesture means to both my wife and I. Over the last few years as we battle this disease family and friends have come around less and less as they get busy with their own lives so gestures like this one mean so much to us. Thank you Wendy and all the staff at the Waukee location."
