"Built nearly a century ago in downtown Cedar Rapids, McKinley has served as both a high school and middle school over the years. The inside of the building features many historical photos of the student body, as well as a large timeline art piece in the entryway. Grant Wood taught here at one point and you can find a pastoral painting of his still used as a stage backdrop in the auditorium."
