"I am 28 years old, and I tried to buy one of those cigarette cases with the built-in lighter that they have by the checkout, only to be carded, and then told I couldn't buy that item, because I don't appear to be over the age of 30. First of all, I am well over the legal age to buy tobacco , liquor, lottery tickets, etc. Second of all, I wasn't buying tobacco products, I'm pretty sure there is no legal age requirement to buy a lighter, or a cigarette case. And lastly, I've bought the same item from the other dollar general locations, and wasn't even asked for my id. If this is a store policy, that is messed up, and uncalled for, but I honestly think the cashier was just senile, and misread what popped up on his register when he rang up the item, and it said to check Id. Also, after leaving without my other items, I looked up the phone number for this location, so I could call and talk to the manager, and their phone doesn't work, it won't even ring through. Horrible customer service. I am not some Karen who calls and speaks to everyone's manager, I've worked in restaurants and retail, so I am always super polite to anyone else working in those industries. I never call to complain, but I feel the way I was treated was wrong, and uncalled for."
"Have now twice got home with groceries and the food is expired. Need to have your employees rotate and check dates while stocking. So disappointing to pay for food that is 8-12 months past the best by date."
"The employees are always very nice at this location! They are very helpful and I always find what I need and if I have trouble finding what I need they are always very willing to go out of their way to help. The store is very clean and organized. Great location to shop!"
"I have yet to find something to complain about. The store is ALWAYS neat. I've been fortunate enough to go when it hasn't been super busy. I appreciate coming in after a rush to not find it messy and unorganized. I usually come here to get snacks for movie night. My usual is always in stock. It is a smaller space, but it's manageable! The employees are very nice too."
"Store is cramped & social distancing impossible. 5 people in line to checkout, 3 cashiers behind the counter talking about hours. What was worse I think one of them was the manager. I ended up leaving my stuff walking out."
