"I don’t recommend this hair salon because when I went there I was requesting a hair straightening and hair trim and hair color but it in end up my hair went back to normal like back to curly hair after and who the hell wants a hair straightening for just 3 days ? I didn’t washed my hair for 3 days and I was surprised because my hair went back so I called them back and they said that will happen if I wash my hair so the question is am I not allowed to wash my hair? It’s so stupid"

"Overpriced! $44 for a 13 year old boy’s haircut. Prices are not listed anywhere so they charge what they want. The business was dirty, the hair was swept to the side from another person’s haircut, not picked up. The chair was never wiped, my son sat in a chair covered in hair from a lady that just had her hair cut. Gross."
"New Looks Salon-I like this salon over others in Ankeny. There are two ladies who treat their patrons like friends. There is only one nail station which means there are no fumes floating in the air, three hair cut stations, two pedicure stations and both women are master crafters in their trade as stylists. Naturally for this level of pampering and expertise you pay a little more. But I think I am worth it."
"The worst! First time they messed up my hair by perming it with small curls when I specifically requested big and wavy. I figured I would give them another chance with a cut and color...which turned out even more disappointing! Sandy dyed my entire head blonde then charged me to dye it back to my natural color...can't even imagine what that did to my hair. I'm not sure if she actually understood what I was asking her to do or if she just assumed...definitely not a place that keeps up with trends! The prices turned out much more than advertised...don't be frugal like I was, go anywhere else!!!!"
