"We come here atleast 3 times a week to swim. Our 5 year old always goes in the hot tub with us gas never been a problem. Tonight when we were there the life guard was extremely rude. Got on my son for being in the tub and than continued with eye rolling when we went into the big tub and she actually had to get off her phone and pay attention. Felt very unwelcome and uncomfortable my child didn't even want to finish swimming. Front desk lady was supper nice, but the life guard on duty needs to decide when she wants to do her job. My kid was in the hot tub for 30 min before she decided to say anything."

"Cheaply constructed. Looks like an 8, feels like a 3. Doesn’t help when they serve spoiled milk in the breakfast area. Out of all of the IHG properties I’ve stayed at, this location ranks in the lowest 10% in service, quality, and value. For the 180.00/night group of hotels, this location is a zero in my book. Avoid. Maybe try the Cobblestone next door."

"Penny the GM is the problem. Horrible customer service, and my room smelled like a kennel. The humidity in the room was insane, so bad that the pillows were damp, and smelled like a dog. Besides the room being horrible, I had a booking issue. I travel for work, and play. I had recently used a rewards night and put my personal card in the app to reserve the room. A few days later I made a reservation at this location and by my own admission, chose a non refundable option. 100% an accident. About 3 1/2 weeks prior to my stay I was charged for my room. I called the hotel and explained that I needed to charge my corporate credit card, not my checking account. They said I needed to talk to Penny. Penny has, over the last 4 weeks refused to call me back. I called IHG and they tried to call Penny and her Management company and no response. I checked in Wednesday of this week and tried to address the situation in person and the brand new AGM offered my a cold bottle of water for my troubles after saying she could not help me. Seriously, a bottle of water. I work for a national company and we are expected to be in the area for about 3-4 weeks in the near future. Because of my experience, the team of 8 will be staying in Sioux Center or LeMars. 8 People, at approx $125 a night X 40 room night is $16,000 in lost revenue because Penny would not call a customer back."
