Located at 111 South 11th Street in West Des Moines, Iowa, The Hall DSM is a unique institution that combines a bar, restaurant, food, and meal takeaway services all in one. The evolution of food at The Hall began with food trucks and has now evolved into The Kitchen DSM, owned by The Justice League of Food (JLF), offering four diverse food menus daily. Choose from German fare, burgers, pub fare, and pizza, all while supporting the JLF’s Culinary Job Training Program for disadvantaged members of the community.
With 54 taps offering a variety of local craft beer, national brews, red and white wine, and signature cocktails, The Hall is the perfect spot for lively conversations and good times. Nitro coffee is also available to keep you going through the night.
At the heart of the Foundry, The Hall brings people together to make a positive impact on each other and the neighborhood. The institution aims to connect and nourish friends and neighbors with drinks, food, and friendliness, fostering relationships and building a stronger community.

"I wanted more food options, truth be told it was not what I expected I guess I was thinking more food court like and someone had told me food truck options but that was not the case which was NOT a problem at all.my husband and I both had brawtwurst and shares truffle fries, a drink and a bar beverage and is was $56. They were out of a few options on the menu, mainly seafood options, which I wanted shrimp.you order from the QR code on the tables or the kiosk when you enter.Nick which we believe was the manager was nice, approachable and appeared to be "not too good to work" he would grab something if we randomly asked as they were not busy for a Tuesday afternoon right after at.patricks day. Bathrooms were clean. Free refills on non alcoholic drinks. It would be a hug place to have a party. The distillery is separate from the food hall, I wasn't aware until I asked, I thought the distillary was were the drinks came from they are apparently two separate businesses."
"Go here! Visited February 4th, had the Brussels sprouts and truffle fries! So good I have tried the manhattan and oh my so good! Great place and there were lots of families with kids! We also tried a lot of free beer samples which is so fun!"
"Great place! Atmosphere. Good for meeting someone or a group. Have good food and drink variety. They have Signature entres with cool named. I had the Rocky Balboa and Kahlua Coffee."
"Wow! The Hall is fantastic. Authentic bier hall feel in a warm environment, with a ton of beer, wine, liquor and food options, from delicious pizza to shawarmas and kebabs to German food and pub grub, all really good. It's super awesome and easy to order and pay through the table QR codes, drinks get delivered fast and good is quick and hot. Bring cards or tabletop games, watch the big screens, hang out on the big tables listening to music, and more, just great. One thing that could be improved is changing tables for babies, neither bathroom has them so you have to change baby diapers at the table"
"Great beer selection. Love the open beer hall setup. Good amount of outdoor space as well. Decent selection of food options. They make it easy to order food and drink via mobile device. We typically visit on a Saturday afternoon post kids sports games and there are quite a few families there as well."
