"Fun and historic place to visit if you're going down the interstate! We didn't have much time but did a quick tour and we're fascinated at how it was moved from Europe and reassembled. Nice gift shop and friendly staff!"

"Iowa has a literal Danish windmill. It was brought over from Denmark and rebuilt and preserved. After paying for the tour, you watch a short video on the history of the windmill and how it came to be. Then you can explore the windmill and climb up. The kids loved climbing the ladders and going as high as we could. They loved the Lego model of the windmill also. Very large gift shop when you’re done. Neat items from Denmark and other countries. Our family enjoyed our time."

"Cute place to visit. Some nice things in the gift shop. Was a little disappointed after walking around the gift shop for 10 min and not 1 person around. Windmill wasn't working, wanted to ask why. Was about to walk out and leave a 5 dollar bill at the register for a sticker I wanted and that was when someone came out. Not mean, but not friendly either. I would have walked around outside but there was someone cutting the grass and blowing all kinds of dust and dirt around, had no intention of breathing all that in. Maybe it was just wrong time, wrong day to visit. They really should put some bells or something on the door so they know someone was walking around. A dishonest person could have walked out with anything."

"Took our family of 6 here for a total of $14.00 for all of us to get in. Inexpensive and so worth the experience! We had a blast and the ladies that gave the tour were amazing today! Lots of history and every one of our kids loved. Elementary age to high school. We all loved playing the axe throwing game too."

"The lady inside was so kind and so nice. Very friendly and we talked a bit about my travels and sites I wanted to see. I signed their guest book and filled out a survey they have (simple traveler questions) and received a free postcard in return. It was cold and very windy so I didn't walk around outside but I did take a couple quick pictures. The inside has souvenirs, books, clothes, candy and the like. They even sell hard cider in different flavors. You can even take a tour of the windmill. Unfortunately I didn't take the tour. I just enjoyed the conversation and environment of good people and a good place....Hygge."
