Established in 2018, The RiverFront combines three parks in downtown Omaha into one cohesive space. The Gene Leahy Mall, Heartland of America Park, and Lewis & Clark Landing now seamlessly connect, providing a gathering place between the historic Old Market and the lively north downtown Omaha area. Gene Leahy Mall opened to the public on July 1, 2022, while Heartland of America Park and Lewis & Clark Landing opened on August 18, 2023. Visitors can explore the interactive map to find destinations or discover new attractions within The RiverFront. The institution hosts a variety of daily activities and events in collaboration with community and program partners. While The RiverFront is a park for all people, visitors are reminded to adhere to the Rules and Regulations for a fun and safe experience.

"In the old photographs the water canal was still there. But when we got there, there was a wonderful children's park there. We really enjoyed it and had a great time. I recommend visiting this park when you visit Omaha."
"Whether you’re a child or an adult who wants to get away from the city within the city, there is so much to do for everyone! There’s a playground, amphitheater, river walk, bridge, skate rink, hammocks, walk around a lake, and more! Right in the beautiful downtown Omaha near old market with another wide range of things to do! Every time I’m downtown I always make it a point to walk around this area. There’s also a vast number of seating throughout the whole area. I show this place to all of my friends and family and would highly recommend it for ANYONE living or visiting Omaha!!"

"What a beautiful job they did creating this area. They thought of everything. Fire pits, children’s playgrounds, amazing vistas, great walking and jogging trails, relaxing spaces, hammocks, roller skating, easy to park and close to downtown that has many great shops and restaurants! Highly recommend!"
"Very scenic with direct views of downtown. Lots of activities with a kids playground, a dog park, partner swings, hammocks, mini library, a reflection pond, and slides for the whole family. Very family friendly. Great place to go when weather is nice. Close to old market neighborhood."
