Stoney Creek Hotel Sioux City

"Great location, clean and friendly staff. Stayed for a multi state youth basketball tournament towels in the room were space for 4 people and hard to get at least 2 more bath towels."

"I normally stay here when i have something going on in Sioux city because its walking distant to so much downtown; but this last visit made me rethink if ill stay again. Showed up to check in and stood there for 20 mins before someone came to the desk. Even rang the bell, the like got longer. The lady then showed up looked distraught and couldn't figure out what she was doing. Got my room finally and there were stains on the sheets and the chair was all torn up. There was toys for another guest under the couch. Then idk if there was another event going on so it was busy. I placed my do not disturb sign on the door and every hour someone would knock on it like it was a joke. Called front desk and they said there was nothing they could do about it. Asked for extra towels more than once and never got those either. Breakfast was awful, watered down eggs, no meat, orange juice machine was down. I expected better for what you pay a noght for a room. Definitely not pleased with place at all and probably wont be staying in the forseen future."

"Great hotel for sure. Nice open carpeted staircase for walking up to your floor if you don't want to take the boring elevator. Pool was warm and salted so go under the water fall and head outside. Who cares if it is 25 degrees out lol it's like a reverse ice bath. 10 to 11 is adult only 21+ so adults can have a quiet pool hr. No bath tub in the rooms but a short 8in step in shower with a seat. Smoking available in the open court yard."

"Very Very pleased. First I have to say how it’s great that this place is pet friendly. I brought my 2 dogs who are kind of crazy, and people/workers are respectful and don’t just touch them. They are just as welcomed as us and I love that. Only concern I have for bringing pets here is where they are supposed to go potty, theres not much space for that in any close-by area with the -40°f windchill it was hard to find a good spot for them to “go”, and somewhere not to far that makes me freeze. And for the dogs barking comments.. if you don’t want to deal with that chance you should go somewhere pets aren’t allowed. Pool was very nice, gets extremely crowded later in the day though. Rooms were so nice and felt so homey. Front desk was helpful with any information we needed. And utilities. Breakfast was good, I’ve definitely had better."

"When I called on the phone to make a reservation, the rude clerk merely said, "Hold please" immediately before I could utter a word, then put me on hold. 15 minutes later I hung up and called back and said I do not want to wait 15 minutes just to determine your room availability. She hung up on me. Clearly, the owner is satisfied with hiring low-quality people who no doubt reflect the level of service you can expect from the entire establishment. How can a two-star hotel have a 4.5 review rating?"
