"Well, I've only been on the very first part of the trail. I can't wait to hike there. I walked there from the house I'm staying in. The trailhead is right on a corner and the parking is on the street. It looks pretty muddy. The views of the mountainside are gorgeous. I saw two waterfalls on the mountain cliffs. I'm sure when it rains there are a lot more."
"Take the Kuilau Ridge Trail unless you're trying to avoid mud; they meet at the same place but all the beautiful jungle is on that side. This trail is one mile through dirt road and then most of another mile through typical forest before you get to the good stuff, and it's pretty stable and dry whereas the other side is stunningly beautiful but steep and muddy. They get you to the same spot."
"A very scenic trail. The trail is relatively easy, but can get muddy. Be prepared for wet and slippery terrain. Nice picnic table at the highest point. No restroom, very limited parking at trailhead"
"If you decide to hike, enjoy the beauty on the way. The falls are very tiny and you cant really get good photo's or close enough. Plus lots of good old Hawaii mud."
"Easy 4-5 mile hike, a little more challenging given the incredible amounts of mud the entire way. The trees and foliage are gorgeous, every shade of green you can imagine. Nice views of the mountains too. You can catch a glimpse of the ocean in the clearings on the way back down."
