"Update—- The owner made it right! Thank you very much. I am so disappointed with this experience. I booked my wife an afternoon fishing for our first visit to Hawaii. Upon arrival at the beach, we received a text cancelling our session because the owner was tied up with family. Totally understandable! We thanked him and requested a refund via text. We were promised one, and are still waiting 5-weeks later to receive it with little to no coordination or communication. We are disappointed and would not recommend choosing this company for your fishing adventure. I hope the owner will make it right with us."

"The tour operator cancelled on me and my husband 15 minutes before the excursion started because he had a newborn baby emergency. As a mother I understand emergencies come up. But this was unacceptable. You call or text way before if you knew your baby was sick. He called and didn’t even announce himself just sluggishly said “I’m not gonna make it because I have a a newborn baby emergency but I can do it later or tomorrow.” Being tired is NOT an emergency. He just blew us off because he probably didn’t get enough sleep. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and would be flying back to the states the next day. Not only did he waste our time and gas, he also prevented us from being able to experience sea fishing that we won’t be able to do again until the next time we come back. I am also opening a claim with the company Viator that we went through because he didn’t cancel the excursion and hasn’t issued the refund. So on our end it just looks like a no show. He’s not responding to Viators calls or emails either. We may have to eat the cost. This person is very unprofessional, irresponsible, and disrespectful. I would NEVER recommend booking with him. What an awful experience!"

"Had an absolute blast fishing with these guys that I ended up going TWICE!! First booking I fished with Joe who was super knowledgeable about the fish, conservation and the general area which made for some fantastic conversation. It was my first time fishing in Hawaii and I’m also new to saltwater/surf fishing and we got on a variety of new species for me it was exciting! Had so much fun that I went out again with them the next day, fished with Mckenzy who was also super knowledgeable and helpful I learned a ton of new things from and we got on a couple more new species to add to my catch book! Most fish were released but did keep a couple each time to take back and eat. The bluefin trevally (omilu papio) was the family favorite flavor-wise by far but they were all incredibly tasty in their own way! All cooked with just a little salt right on the grill to preserve and taste the most natural flavor of each fish! I’ve gone on a lot of guided trips in my travels and these guys are BY FAR THE BEST to experience fishing out here in Hawaii both in terms of GREAT SERVICE & COST EFFECTIVENESS that I’ve experienced. Highly recommended and I will definitely be going with them again in future trips out here. Did you know they also provide guide services in Alaska? I will be booking with them there as well as I have some near future plans to travel to Alaska. FIVE STARS ALL AROUND FOR MCKENZY, JOE AND THEIR TEAM!!"
