"Booked a 1-on-1 the day prior and their communication is excellent. I met Travis for some surfing in a nice location and felt the instruction was good, but not very detailed or specific enough. He's a nice guy and has a positive attitude- which is always a plus and made for a relaxed morning surf. One minor gripe: after an hour in the water with not a ton of wave action, he said the lesson was over. I had expected the "90min lesson" to begin when we got to the water and he started instructing, but it began when we met in the parking lot and he started prepping the boards. I would have enjoyed a full 90min of his guidance, so I recommend arriving early and working with your guide to ensure you get the instruction you desire. Have fun- these guys certainly know the waters well."

"Wife and I wanted to learn the basics and simply *hoped* to actually stand up and surf for a while. Well, Zach made that happen and so much more. We were comfortable out on the water, felt safe the entire time, and appreciated the brevity of the on shore portion of the instructions— I learn by doing. Not only did he help us truly learn to surf and have a ball doing it, but he was great fun to talk to while sitting on the boards waiting for the right wave (read: catching our breath— this was a workout). Would 100% do it again!"

"NOT A TOURIST TRAP. REAL SURFER/INSTRUCTOR!!! Just got done surfing with Zach and my 11 year old daughter. After booking the lesson we had a lot of good communication on where to be and what time. We made it right to the spot and he was there ready to roll when we were. He gave us great instruction on the beach and we were out in the water in no time. It wasn’t more than 5 minutes and my daughter rode a wave 150 yards all the way in. That run alone was worth it but we had many more opportunities. He was super informative, patient, and had a great attitude. You could tell this was his life and enjoys seeing people enjoy the sport. After being out there for an hour you could really see the locals respect him and his knowledge/abilities. Would absolutely use Zach and his team again! This is the place you want to book.
