"We highly recommend the Oahu SPCA!! By appointment only. Makes sense in order to not only not put too much stress on the animals by not overwhelming them with too many visitors but also because of the space at the facility. They are thorough in making sure the pets will be a right match with each person/family. First you have to apply for adoption. Once it gets approved (which doesn't take long) they will respond and set up the appointment to do a meet and greet. Originally we wanted to see another dog for adoption. Grace assisted us and thought another dog would be a better match based on what we wanted. She was right! On our appointment day we saw a couple of dogs but overall decided on the one she recommended. Another thing I liked was their option to foster the dog for a week to see if they are a good match. We knew after a couple of days this dog would be in her furever home."
