Banyan Harbor Resort 3411 Wilcox Road, Lihue, HI 96766

"Love love loved this resort! Very good location right across the street from a beach, very close to the airport. And lots of shopping and food. Very central spot, just about an hour from almost all of the must do things on the island. Great service, all employees are very nice. And the rooms are fabulous. Clean, they provide everything you need to cook, shower, ect. Me and my fiance strayed in room F 69 and i must say we were very impressed. There was an upstairs, kitchen, living area, 2 rooms with 3 beds and a pull out couch bed. And what really impressed me were the 3 balconys/lanais in our room. Not sure about the other rooms of course but that one was absolutely perfect. We stayed for one week just the 2 of us but could have fit the whole family In that room. Will book with them again if we are ever back on the island.!"

"We booked a week’s stay at Banyon Harbor this past week. Upon arriving we were immediately impressed. We had a late arrival and got settled in super quickly. Our unit was a little dated as far as the furniture and appliances go. However, everything was in fantastic condition. The location was amazing as well. We were within minutes of Costco, Target, Walmart, Safeway & many local restaurants and stores. There is a cruise line that docks right near Banyan Harbor which can make for a lot of pedestrian traffic that slows regular traffic as well on the main road. But nothing crazy. We only interacted with the staff a couple of times but were absolutely impressed each time. Especially on checkout. They were friendly and went above and beyond. Me and my travel group all agreed we would absolutely stay here again upon our next trip to Kauai"

"I miss this place. It was fantastic to have a washing machine, dryer, and kitchen, especially with a small child requiring cooking and laundry. We chose this location because it's situated in a very convenient place, with less than an hour's drive to all the amazing locations. We also enjoyed watching cruises arriving and departing. The staff was friendly."

"I stayed in a privately owned, probably the nicest unit here and through airbnb. It was beautifully redecorated, modern amenities, none of the issues others reported. Convenient location but still definitely need a car. There was massive amount of noise upstairs the first night we arrived but then subsided for the rest of the stay. Didn’t use any common facilities, was there for the natural Kauai beauty!"

"This is a dump. I’m in H94. You have to climb a bunch of stairs, and then more stairs inside. All the carpets and furniture are old, worn and disgusting. There are no dressers to put clothes in, there is only a closet with a few hangers. How are you supposed to unpack? One room is large and the other one is teeny tiny with no windows and a broken fan. There are not enough towel racks in the bathroom just holes in the wall where it used to be. The refrigerator sounds like it’s going to explode. All of the window air conditioners are loud and falling apart and one of the fans in the room with no windows doesn’t work. This is a dump and it’s not worth the expensive rate. It’s far away from the beach too. It’s really loud with people having parties and it’s 1130 at night on a Thursday so apparently, Security doesn’t care and allows it to happen. Absolutely the worst place I’ve ever stayed in Hawaii and I live here. I just came to this island to go to a conference at the hotel next-door. I regret not staying at the hotel and if that’s an option for you stay at the hotel not the dump. I can’t believe anyone would give it a good review. Must be bots."
