Please note that there will be limited play available at Wailua Golf Course from October 9 to October 13 due to the necessary spraying of coconut trees for the Coconut rhinoceros beetle. Additionally, amusement equipment can be used at the larger pavilions, but must be provided and managed by a permitted vendor approved by DOPR at least 15 days prior to the event.
The Department of Parks and Recreation has adopted rules and regulations for commercial boating activities at County Beach Parks. They also have limited grant funds available annually for community non-profit groups to promote park and recreational activities.

"Kind far off the beaten path but easy to find. I arrived when it was dark and easily set up my roof top tent, the water is close so the waves lapping all night was peaceful! Unfortunately multiple times someone tried to get into my car even though my tent was right on top of it, so I had a terrible night. No issues with noise other than the jungle fowl of course. Bathrooms were gross and had no toilet paper, soap, or dryers of any kind, although facilities was there in the AM to restock and clean. I personally would not stay again, although I shouldn't have expected much when the website hardly works and I just showed up after not being able to get a reservation."
"Price was awesome but we didn't arrive until after dark so it was challenging to find our spot. Ended up forgoing setting up our tent and slept in the car. The chicken/ roosers started crowing at 3am... needless to say we did not sleep great. Water/ little Beach was beautiful!"

"Pull in and set up a tent anywhere. I'd suggest staying a little ways back from the coast itself or the ocean may join you in your tent at night. Washrooms are well stocked and trash is collected daily, but the toilets themselves aren't maintained the best. There is also no rules enforcement on the camp grounds so people do what they want. That includes dogs in the park (not allowed at any county campground) or people setting up full sound systems so that everyone can hear their music into the night. Can't beat the price of course, but you'll be inconvenienced in a few ways while staying there. Plan accordingly and it'll be worth the savings."
