"Professional staff is very competent and friendly and I have been very satisfied with them. However, I don’t understand why the same paperwork is required to be filled out at each visit even if there have been no changes. What is most concerning is that your social security number must be written on the intake form at each visit. Surely they must know that this number doesn’t change and giving it once should suffice. I decided not to write my SSN on the form and when I questioned the necessity of giving it again, received an inadequate response from the director and was refused service for not complying."
"I can't say enough positive things about Kona Dermatology. We were visiting the Big Island and discovered an unusual growth on the top of my son's head. We made an initial appointment for Brenda, the Nurse Practitioner, to take a look at it. Although she was quite certain that it was nothing to be worried about, she had Dr. McElroy come and take a look. Speaking to me as moms themselves, we all agreed that it would be best to remove the growth. They were able to fit my son in for an appointment very quickly. The kindness shown to my son from the initial meeting, throughout the procedure and right up to the removal of the stitches was so genuine, doing all they could to make him feel comfortable. The peace of mind that we got from having the growth removed and biopsied is immeasurable. Huge, huge thank yous go out to the entire team at Kona Dermatology for all they did for us."
"Quite possible the worst doctor experience ever. Total visit was 8 minutes including the new patient paperwork. The NP didn’t even look at my skin and my mask was on all but 2 seconds to show her one zit instead she basically just prescribed me what I told her my previous doctor did, I could’ve just called them for that. No information on how to use them and when, no information on what I currently use and do. What a waste of money and time."
"Dr McElroy has always been very knowledgeable and caring with every visit for my Eczema. She explains everything efficiently and clearly and always makes every visit a comfortable experience. Her entire nursing and office staff are always friendly, setting the most warm and professional atmosphere. I trust Dr McElroy and her team and would highly recommend them!"
