"WAS NOT A GUEST, I called them to ask if they were hiring and when the person picked up I asked my question and they responded with hanging up straight away. A simple “no” would’ve done much better. UPDATE: they just called me back trying to say there reception is bad, and then proceeded to call me a POS for what I’m assuming is due to this review. The other person who added a review saying this place seemed sketchy was not wrong. All I was trying to do was see if they were hiring for a friend of mine and in return they called me a POS and said if I was that desperate to work, I should try to find a different job somewhere else when in reality I was never trying to apply for myself. For any future guest or potential worker, I would highly advise to go somewhere else they don’t have bad reviews for no reason and their true colors have been shown AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS"

"Hey, for a refurbished 60's motel, the owners did a pretty nice update. Very reasonable price for Tahoe, located on hwy 50 next to a great restaurant called Ernie's. The motel owner was super friendly and very accommodating. I plan to stay here during ski season too."

"The room was perfect for my partner and I during our vacation! Perfect size for just us two. The room did get toasty off and on, but there was an AC to cool down. The room was clean (the shower could’ve been a bit cleaner since we did see hair that wasn’t ours in there). It also had a flatscreen tv with cable, coffee maker, fridge, etc."

"We just stayed here last night. The location is wonderful and the rooms seem to have been updated recently. The cleaning crew did not wipe down the nightstand or other surfaces before we came. There was some sticky stuff on top (probably coffee spills?). In addition, the the windows/blanket covers are super dusty. I accidentally moved them and triggered a lot of dust--and I suffered from an asthma attack. I know this is a budget hotel, but I wish the owner and housekeeper will do a more thorough job cleaning the units, rather than just make them look nice. Again, you get what you pay for."

"A good value for the price. The room was renovated and clean. IMPORTANT TIP: Turn the thermostat down before you go to sleep or you will get to hear what sounds like a goblin inside the radiator going absolutely bananas with a metal pipe all night long. After we turned the heat way down it stopped and we finally got some sleep. Otherwise a great cost-effective option for the traveller on a budget."
