"I wish every hotel stay was as great as this one. Not only is the hotel beautifully designed with a Scandinavian feel but the smart technology and luxury appliances from the stove top to the Dyson hairdryer were much appreciated. We can’t wait to return!"

"Desolation Hotel is amazing! A lot of thought has gone in to designing and developing this sustainable hotel and it finds the perfect balance between a large upscale resort and a small boutique hotel. The rooms are first-class, spacious and beautifully designed and decorated. Maggie’s restaurant has the best food and drinks in town. The staff are lovely and genuinely care about delivering great service to their guests. And the pool and spa area with the fire pits and chill vibes is simply sublime. If you don’t mind a short stroll (a couple of minutes) to the Heavenly gondola and village shops, this is the perfect place to stay after a day on the slopes! I have travelled all around the world and I would highly recommend Desolation Hotel."

"Excellent stay, super convenient walk (even in ski gear) to the Village and Gondola. Easy walk to dining and shopping. Hot tub was excellent after skiing. Rooms well appointed with fresh coffee, chemex, Dyson hair dryer and small kitchenette. Food was great from Maggie’s, staff welcoming all around. We appreciated the water refill station and bottle of wine on arrival! Gym quality and appointments were a welcome surprise as well!"

"The hotel is new and beautiful. The rooms were extremely clean and well stocked, even the kitchen had everything we could potentially want! The bed was super comfortable, the heated floors in the bathroom were great. (Down one star for our ground floor view of the neighboring hotel and street- we had wanted to use the outdoor tub, but even with bathing suits it felt too open with our view) The lobby staff were friendly and helpful. We felt welcomed and taken care of. Maggie’s restaurant upstairs was delicious and the staff were all extremely friendly and attentive. The food was great! We soaked in the hot tub, and that was very relaxing and fun, especially on cold days where there was no snow, and the gondolas were closed. The location is very convenient and parking was easy. Walkable to both heavenly village and the beach, even with our four year old."
