"Kristin is THE best swim instructor there is. I wanted my 8 year old to learn how to swim safely and confidently. I first looked into Water Wings, but after speaking with them on the phone and e-mail, I was less than impressed. So I shopped around a bit and came across Kristin (Swimming In the Sun). I looked at her website and then emailed her and received a very detailed reply back. She answered all my questions and provided me with information I didn’t even consider. The first time I took my child to Kristin’s pool, I knew we made the right decision. Her backyard and pool are extremely clean and well kept. She has all sorts of toys, gadgets, and tools to get her students swimming properly. Kristin also tailors her teaching style to every specific student. It’s not one-size fits all. She is able to identify areas of concern and what needs to be improved and she implements a plan for that specific situation. Kristin takes her job very serious and is stern when she needs to be, but she has an amazing attitude and is great with my child. My child loved her classes so much, she would always dread when they ended. And she always looked forward to swim class. That was the highlight of her weekend. My child began swim class with Kristin, not knowing how to swim, float…nothing. After 2 months she was able to swim freely from one end of the pool to the other, multiple times. She also can float safely, jump into the deep end safely and knows how to properly breathe as well. Kristin is awesome and we can’t wait to come back next season!!!"

Every child’s journey is different, but I can confidently say that Ms. Kristin was KEY. We had attempted swim lessons elsewhere and while they were well-intentioned, it was clear the instructors were inexperienced. Ms. Kristin has an extensive and impressive background and it shows. You will pay more for individual lessons, but the results will be priceless. She really meets her students where they are and helps them not only gain physical skills, but mental and emotional fortitude. They will be challenged and have fun at the same time! She is the BEST!"
