Kona Honu Divers

"We did three 2-tank dive charters last week with Kona Honu. All 6 dives were great! Captain John and Captain Andy were very welcoming and made my wife and 13 year son feel comfortable right away when boarding the boat. We had Matthew as our dive guide on all 6 dives. Matthew was awesome, very knowledgeable about the marine life, and definitely knew how to find the octopi! We had an amazing experience with Kona Honu and look forward diving with them again!"

"Had a blast with captain John and the crew! Everyone was super cool, friendly, and helpful! Our tour guide Milo is very attentive and did a great job on our 2-tank tour. John doesn’t just drive the boat from A to B but goes out of his way to make sure you see all the cool stuffs like whales and sharks when you’re on the boat. Everyone pays close attention to safety. The gear is well maintained - mint Bare wetsuit, Atomic regs, etc. Will dive with this shop again if I ever re-visit Kona."

"I did a two tank local dive, a long distance advanced dive, and the manta night dive with Kona Honu Divers! They were all incredible experiences. The crew was great every time and I felt so very taken care of and well guided. Big thanks to my dive guide x4 Liz! She was always spotting the cool creatures underwater! She helped me capture video when we came across Pilot Whales on the boat ride back. Her and captain Justin were so attentive looking out for extra animals on the boat ride. Captain John was awesome my first day! Then the manta ray night dive we were guided by Mo who shared so much knowledge on those glorious animals and did great guided us through the surgery waters. On this boat ride Captain Taka spotted a beautiful bottle nose dolphin that continued to ride along us for a while. At the end of the night dive he had warm tea, hot coco, and soup available to warm us up! Not to mentioned heated hose! Be careful you’ll be like me and not be able to stop booking dives with them! I’ll be on the boat again tomorrow!"

"We went for the night Manta Ray Dive with Taka, Mo and Max. Let's just say they didn't disappoint. The boat, Honu One, was spacious, plenty of room to spread out. The manta rays showed up, counting at least 8 during the 30 minute dive. They were certainly playful. Definitely worth the money and experience."

"I did a referral open water certification with Kona Honu this week and was extremely happy with the experience! We went into it pretty nervous, but Sarah the amazing instructor quickly made us feel comfortable and safe the entire time, and I found that I was having so much fun by the last dive! All the crew was so nice and helpful the entire 2 days. And we saw tons of incredible sea life! Highly recommend!"
