"We visited Sunset Texas Barbecue a few weeks ago wanting lunch only to find sadly they were closed (they sold out of meat which apparently told us this must be good!) We returned and found them to be open. Oh my gosh!! This is the BEST BBQ on the island that we’ve tried so far!! Update: Best Bbq so far in town. We will become regulars for sure! Hubby had the brisket plate and I had the pulled pork plate. Bursting with that down home BBQ flavors. Both meats were super tender melt in your mouth goodness. This will definitely be our go to bbq place and we will be telling our friends to give them a try. Oh and the staff were super nice making this an all around great experience. Mahalo Sunset BBQ we WILL be back!"

"Listen to me. There are different sections of the country where your type of BBQ is preferred, but when you visit Oahu HI- Sunset Texas Style barbecue is a box you need to check off your list. Brisket seasoned & cooked to perfection. House made sausage is also a good choice. I tried all 4 sides I really liked the cream corn and beans. They sale the beef ribs on Saturday only, I'll be back"

"I thought I had the best brisket on island but HOLD TF UP. They asked if I wanted by brisket more lean or fat or a combination and that’s when I knew I found the perfect place. Absolutely delicious, I have no words for the how good the beans were (I ate the whole container basically by myself.) and the fact they added two different sauces, white bread, pickles, and onions without each thing costing an extra $1.00. We even have enough left over for dinner and a lunch sandwich for tomorrow!!! 11/10"

"Usually I take pretty good pictures, but in this case, everything tasted better than my photos looked. The beef brisket is a must-buy. It has the perfect mix of lean and fat meat and just the proper amount of seasoning. The pork short ribs were not far behind: slightly salty with a peppery sweet sauce, an excellent contrast next to the brisket. The pork belly, on is own, would be excellent, but with the other two meats, it seemed like a lesser version of the brisket. Maybe changing the seasoning for this one would be a good idea. All meats were slow-cooked to fall-off-the-bone perfection. The pinto beans with burnt ends was sweet and yummy. The cole slaw was not bad, but nothing special. The services were friendly and quick. ApplePay worked fine. Let’s support this local business, so that they’ll open more days during the week!"
