Qing Mu Noodle

"Went for lunch, and the food was OK but not anything special. I had a braised tofu sandwich. The sauce on it was good, but that was pretty much the highlight. The executive chef was taking orders and was very friendly and the food came out quick. I just wish they had more of a selection, and I think I would find something that I would rate higher."

"This is a cute little place in the Kakaako district across from Salt. I really like the décor of the place and the easy going atmosphere. Staff seem really nice as well. They have a rather limited menu with nothing unique, just the classics. I ordered the Qing Mu Pho, but unfortunately was given the Ribeye & Meatball. Not sure if it was miscommunication on my part, but I did point to the Qing Mu Pho on the menu. Not a big deal as the the soup was still enjoyable despite not having all the meats that I had originally ordered. Their pho broth is good, but nothing unique from what I could tell. I did love the presentation of the Pho coming in an extra large bowl as well as the ladle style spoon over the typical Chinese style. With my pho, I got the Vietnamese coffee. It was nice and robust with just the right amount of sweetened condensed milk to balance it out. However, I ordered it iced and it came in such a small glass. Usually it is served with a tall glass of ice, but it came ready made and rather small. All in all, it was a good lunch and I'd give them another go if in the area."

"Got a lemongrass chicken banh mi and two phos. The portions for the pho are humongous in these giant bowls, which probably balances the kinda expensive price. I didn't like the chopsticks, they were too short and difficult to grab the noodles with. The banh mi was good, and the pho was okay. However, while eating the pho there was a giant dead bug floating in the broth and we both immediately lost our appetite, and I got a refund."

"I came here because I was craving noodles and other Vietnamese food.I shouldn't have gone there when I was hungry because I had ordered way too much food. I ordered the summer rolls, pho, Vietnamese beef stew, and banh mi. The summer rolls was cut too short so it quickly fell apart when I was trying to dip it in the sauce, the pho was ok, the beef stew lacked in flavor, but thao banh mi though. The banh mi is so good! I like that the place was really clean and they had outdoor seating. I will be back to try other dishes."

"New Vietnamese restaurant in town to try. Food was well packaged for the Takeout orders. The portion is smaller side but all tasted good!"
