"After getting approved for braces my family was barred from making any further appointments because I requested an afternoon appointment. I was told, "Here's the thing; we schedule our bonding appointments in the morning because they take at least an hour." I asked for 1:00 pm or later and then was told, " I don't know if 1:30 is late enough for you.", After which I became upset because I infact have anxiety disorder. I then replied by telling her that we all have things, that I had mentioned at the beginning of treatment that we would need later appointments because my son has autism and I have Lupus and social anxiety and feel safest driving in the afternoon in familiar areas. After all of that I was scheduled for an 11:30 am appointment but told I could arrive at 11:45 am and when I arrived the doors were locked. I called and was told that the Maryland Parkway location was closed and that I'd have to go to their Horizon Ridge location. Due to previous experiences; I cannot drive in the area of the Horizon Ridge location and was therefore considered a no-show and told that we can't return to their practices. I already knew that would happen based on the interactions between myself and the office personnel. I am convinced this was done intentionally. In any regard if you need accommodations due anxiety or time issues DO NOT GO HERE! Save yourself the embarrassment of being treated like a second class citizen because of anxiety disorder."
