"Their customer service is laughable I genuinely don’t think I’ve ever been treated so poorly. Told me to go get a bmw battery because and I quote “they’re not even that expensive” and “if I own a bmw I should be prepared to spend more money.” I don’t mind some advice in fact I’d prefer some advice guiding me in the right direction. However, to tell someone “it’s not that expensive” not knowing whats expensive to someone and whats not, is unprofessional and uncalled for. Thanks to Alexys Llamas (different shop) for helping me figure out my problem and guiding me in the right direction! Just editing this to reply to your reply, alexys didn’t repair anything I never said he did, I said he guided me in the right direction. Thank you for your concern though!"

"I came to this store out of desperation, since this was the only BMW repair shop in the entire Tahoe. Although the storeowner wasn't able to fix anything because of a missing replacement part (not his fault, I needed to get out of Tahoe on that day), the storeowner was the coolest dude ever. I need to thank him for keeping me in his parking lot and showing me gems in his shop for 4 hours while I was waiting for a tow truck."

"Local here who can’t speak highly enough of John at Higher Ground. The past few years he’s gone above and beyond to keep my VW Eurovan on the road. It wasn’t cheap to do any of the repairs but VWs never are. It’s a small, one man show which means you don’t have to worry about an inexperienced tech working on your car. I’ve recommended both friends and family and everyone’s had a good experience so far. Definitely the only shop around that I would trust with a German car."

"I was in Lake Tahoe for one day and needed an emergency repair for my Audi S4. Higher ground is the only Audi/BMW service in South Lake Tahoe and thus is extremely busy. John, the owner, provided the best service I could have wanted. Not only is he an exceptionally talented technician, he's attentive, honest and really a good guy. He repaired my car while I waited and I was able to catch a half day of skiing before driving 200 miles home. I am extremely grateful to John and would definitely have him service any of my cars in the future. I am so satisfied that I am considering scheduling a maintenance service on my next trip to Tahoe!"
