"Love these people! A couple of years ago, I rubbed against a sage and had an anaphylaxis reaction. Was diagnosed and have been getting shots since. The receptionist is very busy answering the phone and several other patient related tasks. Patients should be patient with her and appreciate her experienced help. All the staff are kind and professional, it's my pleasure to be given medical care by them. My 1st diagnosed allergy was to the Monterey Redwood, and one grew in my backyard in my elementary school years... I'm in my 60's."
"My alergies had gotten so bad that my sleep was affected so I decided to do something and got in touch with Northern Nevada Allergy. I was told an appointment was months out, understandable; allergies are particularly bad this year, I made one. I filled out a few page long information sheet online in preparation for the appointment. Today I showed up 15 minutes late for my 1:30 appointment due to a situation at work. Cynthia refused to see me. As a new patient their 15 minutes grace period must not apply. I was told we would have to reschedule and next available was next year. I can sympathize with anyone struggling with allergies this season, this place can't. I left very disappointed. I was charged me co-pay as soon as I walked In. I hope to get a refund soon."
"The worst experience I have ever had in healthcare. Working in healthcare myself, I highly suggest to go elsewhere. The clerk at the front desk was rude and snippy. She also yelled at me thinking I was leaving when I was just trying to get my son from leaving out the door. I met with Dr.Reyes and I do not recommend her. She has no bedside manners, cut me off when I was speaking, and seemed to just want to rush the appointment. Asking me why I haven’t seen seen a dermatologist for my sons eczema when I specifically asked for one but was only give a referral from the family doctor to an allergist. After the appointment, the unit clerk told me the allergy testing was going to be around $500 and never offered payment plans saying that’s what I would have to pay out of pocket after insurance. I would rather make the drive to Reno. It’s sad to see that this community has to rely on these people for services and they don’t treat their patients with respect."
"Dr. Reyes is a terrible M.D. with ZERO bed side manor. She spent minimal time with me and my son. She did not ask questions outside of "what can we help you with" she asked if my son had any peanuts recently. No he has not had peanuts, he is allergic since he was 15 months. She did not reassure me what the best course of action was or how to improve quality of life with weighing the risks. She came back to tell us his results, he is still allergic to peanuts and we will see you back in a year. I reiterated back to her what she told me about risks and 20% chance of him out growing it. Her face looked dumb founded that I tried to confirm my understanding for my sons allergy. She asked what prescription he had "epipen or the square" I did not know what the square was and my son has an epipen prescription. She did not give me other options or explain what the "square" was. She simply went over how to administer the epipen injection, which I am aware of, she did not ask if I knew how to administer it. She did not bring up the oral immune as an option until I asked about it. She also was still talking as she left the room, and did not ask if I had additional questions for her. This is not the first bad interaction we have had with her. We will not be returning or referring anyone to this place."
"Dr. Reyes is wonderful. Very professional, knowledgeable and empathetic. I’m thankful that we have a physician like her in the area as there is severe lack of specialists in Reno/Carson area. If I could give one star to the receptionists, I would. Terry was extremely rude! My appointment was at 1:30pm, and I got in around 1:15pm , strolling in with an infant , having driven 30min , arranged care for my toddler to stay home, and her first words were “you were supposed to be here at 1, we will try our best to get you seen.” Never mind that I’ve printed and signed everything that was asked of me , made the payment online already (she still asked for it because shedoesn’t have competency to check), filled out ALL info online including daughters insurance policy info) and she showed zero empathy or care that as a mom of an infant I was there a bit later than ASKED (I was not late to My appointment). Then she went on to blatantly lie that “All doctor offices require physical copy of info”. Wrong. I’m a doctor, my husband is a doctor, and that is simply not true. So when I didn’t have my 6mo old’s insurance card on me, she proceeded to give me nasty attitude again. Then she had the Audacity to complain to her practice manager that I was “difficult,” because she knew that I was not going to let this behavior pass when I asked her for her name. I didn’t want to waste Dr. Reyes time complaining about her, but she will hear from me at my next appointment what an unprofessional staff she has in the Carson location. And the practice manager also needs some coaching in how to handle such a situation , instead of apologizing for such a terrible experience on my end. Of course Terry is going to say whatever is necessary to defend herself. I was standing in line to make follow up appnt and she yelled “YOU CAN GO” , I said I need f/u appnt and when I got to her she once again w very nasty attitude made the appnt with ego bigger than her head. I’m here with an infant with an allergy, for Christ’s sake have some heart. Shocking to see such incompetent individuals as first faces of a doctors office."
