"Idk how this place has the eating it has. The Radiologist kept my moms hopes up by lying to her telling her they could get her mass down and told us she didn’t have a quote “death sentence yet”. When I’m fat she was already stage 4 according to her Oncologist. By the time they got done singing us along, probably to make money is all I can think, my mom had a week to live. The only honest one in our situation was her Oncologist in Reno and she was right giving mom a week to 2 weeks to live. By the time mom went in hospice to help control the pain she lived 4 days. She lived in pain much longer than she should of in the hopes of Carson Tahoe Cancers Radiologist whom by the way was on the radiology board at the time. We trusted her and she was a lier. I must not forget to mention, Their radiology machine was constantly breaking down when my mom went here. They said it was the computer system but what’s the difference. They’d have my mom laying on the hard radiology board with the mask over her face while trying to get it up and running. She’d come Out crying in pain from laying on it for so long. I feel Carson Tahoe Cancer center is a joke. Stringing patients along to make money off them. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS FACILITY. PERIOD."

"The deer eating from the bird feeders at the Carson Tahoe Cancer Center. The doctors and nurses here are amazing, I don't think you could get better care anywhere else!! There was a mix of fawns, doe and bucks, I counted 16, there were more than that. What a great site for the patients.."

"Most of the staff is caring and compassionate. I believe many are overworked and understaffing does not help. I really enjoyed Dr. Perez, and the Traveling doctors. I was assigned to a Physician assistant, Mckenzie Coomba and later assigned to Dr. Kelly. Both turned out to be uncaring and Dr. Kelly is beyond RUDE. He was rude to my children and I on all visits. Since being placed on Anastrozole for the second time, I have experienced many side effects just like before. I requested to be placed on part time duty at the onset of this second go around due to the previous reactions to the drug, and I have received nothing but resistance from Dr. Kelly. Per Ashley, "Dr. Kelly won't complete the form unless you are going to do Chemotherapy." Anastrozole is a oral hormone/chemotherapy pill. Why should I be forced to chemotherapy in order to get an ADA form completed? Also, how is it that I was going into surgery and not assigned to a doctor the second and third time?- Especially after being diagnosed three times in two years with breast cancer by this establishment? Does this have anything to do with the care provided for women of color being below standards as it relates to Oncology? Does it have anything to do with Dr. Kelly being at their establishment for years, yet they can't keep other Oncologists? Does it have anything to do with how much money they receive when a patient takes chemotherapy? With my cancer being Estrogen responsive, why hadn't I been referred to a nutritionist to work on diet and weight control to not contribute to more estrogen being produced by my fat cells? Instead I am handled by Ashley, treated like an insignificant number by Dr. Kelly. I would not refer anyone to Dr. Kelly unless you enjoy a poor bedside manner. The Cancer Resource Center employees and volunteers are a delight."
