Holiday Inn Express & Suites Pahrump, an IHG Hotel

"Great staff. Clean. Service oriented. Nice size rooms. Has a pool and hot tub. Cost is fair. Able to purchase bottled water and snacks on site."

"Stayed here for a couple of nights while we explored Death Valley. Rooms were clean and comfortable and they had a good breakfast - would recommend. They also had a nice looking outdoor Jacuzzi but we didn't have time to try it out :("

"Nothing amazing... they just did everything right. Stayed here 1 night before going to expensive lodging in Death Valley. Newer hotel. High ceilings. Clean. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Decent breakfast buffet. Pahrump was nice jumping off point to Death Valley. Did all our grocery shopping there to avoid the exorbitant prices in the park. Would absolutely stay there again."

"We got a room here, and when we booked it, we told them we had two dogs with us. They gave us the rate, and we said "OK that sounds fair." Upon arrival and checking in, the lady at the front desk said oh by the way, it will be an additional charge for the dogs. " " Wait!!! We told you we had two and you have us the rate. She then said "oh that's just for the room, not with the dogs." So we told you we had dogs, and you still didn't tell us the correct rate? Now it's too late to cancel because there will be a charge for that as well. And Best Western was too busy to take your call, so we were stuck! Then, upon check out, we see an additional charge and come to find out the pet fee is per dog per day. But they can't be left in the room so they are only there when we are there and we were out most of the day the entire trip we were there which made it difficult for us to see the town because so many places so not pets allowed. We'll know how are we supposed to do anything if we can't leave them in the room, and you charge us to have them there, but they have to be with us because of your rules. Management needs to find better staff that can explain the rules when booking a room rather than " surprise it's now 200 dollars more than we quoted you" Definitely not happy with the hotel as we did not factor in an additional 200 for our trip for the dogs. And since again, they are not allowed to stay in the room so we can go site see and grab lunch this was extremely frustrating. I will have to do better research for the next trip and do my due diligence to find a better place as well as say shame on you Holiday Inn for not being up front about your policies. Also, the walls and floors are not insulated well, and you could hear people taking in other rooms. It sounded like a water Buffalo was in the room above us at night that kept jumping around, making it hard to sleep as the pounding on the roof/floor above us was so loud. It's definitely not a great experience"

"The reason behind the 4 instead of 5 stars is the new parking charges. Never have we had to pay for parking in this location. However, the stay was very good. Noise level was almost nonexistent. King-sized bed was very comfortable. The lady at the desk was very helpful and friendly."
