"Nursing staff on second floor is AWFUL. They were rude and didn’t provide information on my father who is having a surgery and nobody called to advise they were moving him or taking him back to surgery. Charge Nurse and lead nurse were EXTREMELY rude. I thought taking my dad to the Carson Valley facility because it would be a kinder facility for him. We were wrong. The nursing staff is TERRIBLE. None of the care team for my dad gave any names but upon searching one of the nurses was Sarah Key. My father was discharged less than 24 hours post partial joint replacement op and they gave him no pains meds. I did reach out to Brittany the patient advocate and so far it hasn’t helped. Apparently the Hippocratic Oath doesn’t mean much to this medical group."

"I typically only post uplifting reviews. This is not going to be one of those. I had taken my daughter to the hospital on Saturday evening November 18 I believe 2023. She was in the middle of a traumatizing medical issue as are most people when they come to the hospital. The doctor on shift Dr. Raz. was amazing, kind, thorough and gentle with his words. This particular evening, my daughter needed an abdominal ultrasound to see what was going on. We were told that we needed to wait an hour for the ultrasound tech to be called in. This was not an issue it was late, around 10:30 or 11 pm. After the ultrasound, we waited for about 3 hours before finally asking when we would get the results of this ultrasound. At that point the doctor came in and explained to us that he had no control over the radiology staff, and there was only one for all the hospitals at this hour. He informed us that it could be another 5 to 6 hours before we got the results. Well, that was going to be an undoable wait for us, as we knew what was going on just simply needed pain management. At that time we were told that the nurse would come in in about five minutes and administer that because the ER staff was “not the hold up”, it was radiology. Totally get it. About an hour later I popped my head out to see if somebody would come in and administer the meds that we were promised in five minutes. I was greeted with a very short “yeah, I’ll be with you in a minute”. In a very put out tone and before I could even get a word out. About 10 minutes later, a nurse named Adriane came in to my daughters room with discharge papers. Amidst this discharge time, I ask her “Before you discharge her. Are you going to give her the medication that the doctor prescribed an hour ago”. Nurse Adriane’s response was pure and blatant disrespect because she was embarrassed that she had missed the doctors orders on the discharge papers. She immediately bit back at me in a nasty tone, and started spewing words saying that they had a full ER with two ambulances that had come in and a lobby full of people. I’ll tell you that there was three other people in the ER. There was not one soul in the lobby and no ambulances. Nurse Adrian continued on to say a few other snide comments as she walked out and blatantly slammed the door…twice! She then went and got the medication to administer, and on her way back her coworker says” are you OK”… And her response was “yeah normally I would keep my cool, but…”. Let me tell you something, in this world that we’re in, If we don’t advocate for ourselves within the medical system, we will get forgotten. My daughters meds would not have been administered that night had I not asked the question. An appropriate response would’ve been “oh my thank you so much for reminding me I’ll be right back“ or something of the nature. In no way shape or form should she have bit at me, raised her voice, or slammed the door in a medical environment. This type of Behavior can shut people down and stop them from advocating for themselves. I presume that was her goal and trying to create fear within us in regards to asking questions. Nurse Adriane, I truly hope that at some point you read this letter… I would be dead have I not advocated for myself over the last 10 years. There have been more mistakes made within my care team than I can even remember. You should encourage self advocation and not get offended if you forget something. We’re all human and we all forget things. We understand it’s a working unit, but don’t be angry with patients because you forgot and are understaffed. I appreciate you showing up to work and take care of the patients but in no way, shape or form is it our fault that you guys cannot handle the few patients that you have. Possibly y’all should staff in the evening rather than telling patients, you’re understaffed because we’re in a small town and you don’t need a full staff at night. Clearly you do. Of all the businesses in the world… Medical staffing is not one that should be cut to save money."

"The doctor and staff in the ER are very rude and uncaring. The ER doctor is extremely rude and brushed off everything I said and was concerned about regarding my heart and BP and numbness in my legs and feet, like I don't know what the heck I am talking about. The doctor even said his BP can be 200/120 and he is perfectly fine. I didn't feel cared for AT ALL. Just another number"

"My grandma was in bad shape after a surgery that killed her , we moved her here to get proper care, and it was the best decision. She was with this hospital for about 3 weeks. The staff was very professional and took great care of grandma, aka Roberta, as well as us. Their hospitality was amazing. They were friendly, attentive ,and comforting. Special shout out to Sarah, Sam, Nicolette, and Becca for doing your best. You were amazing and so helpful. And treated our grandma with the most love and care, and comfort. We will never forget you guys. Or the rest of the staff that helped her . Thank you so much! Love, Shannon,Landon, and Roberta"
