"If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I have been here since July & there have been countless security issues involving squatters, package/mail theft, & assaults on the premises, let alone the issues I have heard from other tenants including roaches in various areas of the building being left unaddressed, but let me start with my personal experience. When I initially toured this building, it looked SO hopeful for a place to call home. The beautiful units are full of charm, the gym has a lot of space and from afar as well as in pictures, it looks like it has a lot of equipment available to use. There is also a cute rooftop/commuity room with great views (when people aren't literally living out of it). Upon getting the keys on June 31st (Friday), I was advised that I couldn't move in until after midnight July 1 (Saturday) because they were still preparing the unit for a move-in. When i showed up Saturday morning to start moving my belongings in, the unit was in SHAMBLES. It was immediately evident that ZERO cleaning had been done from the previous tenants. Food in cupboards, splatters all over the kitchen, and don't get me started on the bathrooms. Being that it was a Saturday and I had to be out of my previous apartment by Monday morning, I had to clean the entire unit myself which took me 9 hours total, delaying my move-in and reducing the help that I had available...As far as maintenance, there was a single bedroom wall partially painted because the maintenance man at the time started using the incorrect color and then just stopped....not only that but there was absolutely nothing else fixed including hanging baseboards, door frames, and cupboards. Underwear was literally hanging from the fire sprinklers. The fact that the property manager allowed someone to move in to a unit in that condition was appalling. Fast forward to September and it was no surprise that the property manager at the time had yet to address the maintenance issues, let alone COLLECT RENT FROM ME. I went FOUR months and multiple ignored emails before he set up my payment portal and requested the unpaid rent (LOL). At that point, I addressed the maintenance issues which were SWIFTLY forwarded to the new maintenance guy (who is GREAT, by the way) and was fixed within the week (no surprised since the property manager was feeling pressure from the company, for their money lol). In December, I finally got a notice to pay my electric since that hadn’t been set up either, however my first correspondence for that was a FINAL NOTICE due by 5pm on December 5th that was left on my door ON December 5th, which I didn’t open until after 5pm. You can imagine the rage, wondering if I will make it through a December night without having my electric turned off, as the notice stated. Additionally, I have been on a waitlist for a parking lot/garage spot since I moved in, and have yet to get one, however, folks moving in after me have already gotten one. There are tenants I have spoken to who have been waiting for over a year, while newer tenants are being given lot spots. Unacceptable. The building is currently in between property managers due to the previous one resigning (LOL), and while one would assume that the issues stopped at the previous manager, there are several accounts of tenants attempting to escalate their issues to upper management and those are receiving just as little consideration all the way up the chain. It almost seems like due to this building being under section 42 (affordable housing), the management company does not take matters as seriously at this property as others. Even after a meeting was called amongst residents and management in November, there has been no resolution to many of the community issues and concerns. Including safety issues and packages being stolen. As much as I love the building's charm along with my own apartment (now that it's been fixed and painted lol), it's absolutely NOT worth the headache of the property management. As long as it's owned by Dominium, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. :("
"Horrible place because of management. Package stolen a lot and no one cares. I’ve had over $2000 worth of items stolen. The response one gets is, “Oh, the camera doesn’t work good”. So it seems people can steal packages and they could care less. The regional manager never responded to your call after leaving messages. I’ve lived at their A-Mills building prior to coming here. Lived here since 2017. Total of 8yrs at their properties. Never again after this. It started out great and like with anything it becomes a reflection of management. When the employees don’t care it shows. Companies get what they pay for! And it truly shows in here. Do NOT move here, I’m warning you. All of the bad comments are true. I’m guessing we need to contact Armand Bachman one of the partners to try and get things fixed around here. Or maybe they should hire someone competent who cares about the job. I can help train your staff on customer service if you like."
"I’ve lived here a little over a year now. When I moved in, there were a few months that went relatively uneventful. But 2023 started and the Kia boys began ravaging our parking lot. Multiple people in my building had their cars stolen. Many people have been harassed by non-residents who feel comfortable roaming the property. I’ve also had my car stolen, twice actually. Obviously, there were complaints made to management not only involving the car thefts, but the multiple instances of non-residents accessing our building due to inadequate security and reliability of exterior locks/fob systems. We were told by various staff members a variety of things, those of which included basically gas-lighting one of the residents who stood up after her friend was violently attacked by a trespasser who forced the secured front door open and then chased him and threw rocks all over the lobby. All this to say, regional management has been generally passive, if not reluctant to help us feel safe in the building. She actually tried to send out a letter saying there had been 0 police calls to our address, and this was in July. There were actually 36 at the time..Community and aesthetic is great, but do not recommend for anyone not willing to deal with all the aforementioned issues."
"Unfortunately, I can only rate it one star due to the apparent lack of priority given to tenant safety, the persistent neglect of amenity repairs, and overall communication. One major issue is the apparent disregard for tenant safety. The lack of proper security measures and protocols is a significant concern. Instances of unauthorized access to the premises and inadequate lighting in common areas make residents feel vulnerable. Addressing these issues should be a top priority to ensure the well-being of all tenants. Moreover, the state of the amenities is disappointing. Several amenities promised during the leasing process remain dysfunctional, and despite multiple complaints, there seems to be a lack of urgency in addressing these concerns. Residents deserve access to the facilities they were promised when choosing to live in this complex. One notable positive aspect of this apartment complex is the consistently high quality of maintenance personnel they hire. The maintenance team has always been skilled, prompt, and effective in addressing issues. However, it's disheartening that the complex struggles to retain these valuable employees. Perhaps a fair adjustment in their compensation would be a worthy investment to ensure the continued satisfaction of residents and the longevity of a competent maintenance staff. It is my hope that the management takes these concerns seriously and implements immediate corrective actions. The safety and well-being of residents should always be a top priority, and the amenities should be maintained to the standard expected in a quality living environment. I encourage potential tenants to thoroughly consider these aspects before choosing this apartment complex as their home."
"I’ve lived here since 2017 and the quality of the building as well as competency of management has continued to decline. Residents are constantly requesting consistency with communication, there’s issues with safety, and limited amenities that are in working condition. Overall, I love my unit and the location to Millworks. Management makes a huge difference."
