Lake Pahoja Recreation Area, located at 1831 Buchanan Avenue in Inwood, Iowa, is a 300-acre park and tourist attraction offering a wide range of activities for visitors of all ages. The park features a 350' x 100' swimming beach at the northeast end of the lake, as well as a restroom for convenience. Visitors can enjoy swimming, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and more throughout the year. Concessions and supplies are available at the Entrance Booth, with a portion of sales going towards funding capital projects at the park. "A great little beach on the lake, only drawback the bugs, so make sure to bring spray or natural bug deterrent. Swimming area was nice and clean. Overall highly recommend just needs some more picnic tables, new paint on tables and showers. Our daughter went into the lake and had fun but when she got out she had a bunch of little white worms in her bathing suit, so showers would have been amazing. We just visited the park for the day so didn't have a camper to wash off. But we are definitely going to be heading there again. Also loved the rates as of now Annual pass $25 and daily vehicle pass $5. We saw paddle boats, kayaks and canoes and know you can rent them, along with awesome cabins, lodges and even a nature center, we did not rent them so, can't comment on those but even their campground rates are not bad, so I'm sure they are not crazy. Very relaxing, peaceful and a great place to get away that doesn't break the bank. Thank you Lake Pohoja staff, for taking great care of the lake and the grounds, it was beautiful ❤️. Highly recommend"
"Wow! Such a great place to take the family on a nice day. 3.5 mile trail around the lake. Perfect for biking or jogging! Multiple playgrounds! Great place to go for a weekend in a cabin."
