"I was recommended podiatry in Belle Plaine after visiting urgent care. It turns out I have a chipped bone in my foot and a knicked tendon. When I explained to the Dr. I thought previously it could have been Planter Fisciitis.. He said" I've been treating Planter Fisciitis for more years then you have been alive (I'm 48)... ok . Then I was asking questions about caring for my foot and he asked me "What planet were you born on?" I blurted out laughing, Earth! His reply "only my martain patients heal faster then 6 to 8 weeks! Repeated this several times and ran out the door. Ok.. Not only was the bedside manner terrible the nurse fitting me for the brace wasn't any better. Very rough with putting it on I said that hurts she said yup it sure will. I asked questions and was treated like a child... "If you can figure out what day and night is" she said 3 times. Additionally I called back I could hardly walk even briefly with following all instructions... I was in tears.. plus couldn't sleep at night. I asked for suggestions. After 24 hours the nurse called me back and said "He doesn't prescribe pain meds call your primary" I never asked for pain meds I asked for a suggestion. The same thing was repeated and my primary referred me back to podiatry. Also... it turns out after some experimenting... I found some sketcher shoes that helped and I didn't have to wear the brace any more... no mention of shoes were suggested. I read the notes in my chart about better shoes. I am flat footed.. think he could've mentioned it? Very disappointed... not the kind of Dr. care I expect from a fabulous clinic of Ridgeview! This was Dr. Standa. There are 2 other podiatry clinics Chaska and Waconia through Ridgeview. I suggest seeking these clinics for foot care!"
