Uptown Terrace

"Love the apartment and location. I do wish the walls, floors and ceilings were more soundproof as I hear every step of my neighbors upstairs (just as they hear all of mine) and neighbors toilets flushing. Cheap carpet gets a thumbs down from me, I wish it were all laminate flooring. I wish there was a key pad or buzzer system that would allow for Amazon and Walmart deliveries to your door! Previous managers have been negative, accusatory, and know-it-all's with no interest in developing a rapport and building relationships with tenants. Ciera and Kaden (apologies if I spelled their names wrong) have been super positive and helpful always going out of their way for others and willing to listen to others concerns and suggestions. Maybe one of them should be the next manager of Uptown Terrace! The dog park has its issues, mud for starters but very thankful we have a dog park. When I moved in October 1, 2021 I was told that the "clubhouse" would be available for us to reserve and available for the tenants to use, but were later told we couldn't because the builders failed to put in the doors that separated the office space from the clubhouse. Very disappointing because we had hoped to hold book club and watch games and build relationships with other tenants. Couldn't they simply just lock the office doors?"

"I’ve been living here coming up 3 years in July & it’s been quite a pleasant place. We’ve dealt with some things here & there with the last leasing team that wasn’t very pleasant but the new leasing company has been pretty nice & good to talk to & handling things. The only thing that doesn’t make my rating a 5 star is the pricing on our lease. It goes up higher & higher in price every year & it’s almost to the point of us deciding maybe another year won’t be possible. Overall, the community is quite nice & the neighbors I’ve met throughout the years are super sweet. I’ve loved my apartment & I would recommend this place to anyone who can afford it."

"I like the interior of these apartments. I always get compliments for that when I have guests. However, I am not very happy with the hallway and stairs area where there are always pets and other trashes. I think if the management takes care of them with regular cleaning, and few other details, this apartment will be a really nice place to live. We have some nice and friendly staffs in the office that I always enjoy talking with them. I also appreciate if they remove the wallet trashing and let us take our trash as that service is not very good. We don’t have them on the weekend and they are not very consistent in their proper service."

"I am so impressed with the new management in the property! My boyfriend lives here, and he has had countless issues since he moved in. That being said, they have placed a new manager in charge, and let me tell you, she is the BEST thing these apartments have ever seen! I think her name is Kelly, and since she took over, it is CLEAR that things are headed in the right direction!!! Tonight they even hosted a resident appreciation event! The whole staff came and they provide treats and refreshments. They listened to the residents, and truly heard us. Kelly was so engaged in the conversation her and my boyfriend were having, and to be honest! I’m so excited to see this new direction, under new management!!!"

"They need to drop “luxury” from the title. It’s false advertising. There is always something disgusting and sticky in the elevators INCLUDING large boogers wiped on the elevator buttons. Rotted food and drinks on the property that stay for weeks to months at a time (even when talking to office staff because they do not care). The pool area is basically a frat house with constantly with loud music and huge groups of people (No enforcement to the rule of 2 guests per lease) and is never monitored. The corn hole game in the court yard sounds like someone is beating on your windows if you live on the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th floors yet nothing is done to insulate them to drown the noise or even possibly move or replace them with a quiet alternative. Dogs are barking constantly early in the morning and late at night during quiet hours and all that is done is an email sent out and notes posted. (What you need is to have your management living on property on the 2nd floor or higher facing the courtyard then maybe they’d actually care to do something about the noise). The air conditioner has been out for nearly two months in the hallways (July and August) and the halls smell absolutely disgusting (People leave spray out it is so bad). Elevators and floors constantly covered in water from people coming in and out from the pool without towels. Puddles of water in hallways - no concern. I guess just wait for a fall? The apartments are NOT managed at all and living here is anything but luxurious. No peace of mind in your apartment due to unmonitored pool activities - disgusting property- and literally nothing is done about it. The new owners should have completely cleaned house and got new management for the property. They never cared for residents complaints before - they aren’t going to magically care now. People may need to be educated on policies and procedures but if they are lazy, rude, dismissive and hateful to residents - that’a a personality flaw and you need new people. This is why Google reviews are poo. (It’s from your frustrated residents who had no where else to turn to and are not going to trust to go to the same staff that was hateful, disrespectful, and dismissive before).Potential residents can find something SO much cheaper and SO much nicer in the area do NOT get fooled into renting here UNTIL they do something about the issues at the property. (I will happily update this review if that happens) Also - the new management is inflating the reviews. That’s absolutely disappointing. The 5 star ones that are recent aren’t from here - they’re from the same state and city as their home office. They were posted the same day the new management was going through at responding for the first time (and you can check their locations). Improve the property and you will get authentic positive reviews. The office staff you chose to keep on have always been incredibly rude to residents. They do not care or are blatantly hateful. Pay attention to your reviews because I’m sure they’re “acting good” in front of the new owners. The residents here are frustrated - so maybe start with making amends with them and actually enforcing rules, cleaning and maintaining the property, give they inherited staff thorough customer service and attitude training (or get new people who actually care and take pride in their jobs and the property), have someone enforcing court yard / pool side rules, have the hallways and buildings walked multiple times a day so things are monitored, and maybe speak with residents on rent adjustments for the BS (especially floors 2-4 pool side residents ) they have had to endure. As previous reviews said - we pay to live here - not work here and be miserable and not even be allowed peace of mind in our units."
