Gent Cuts and Grooming

"It is tough to rate this because I had two different services with two different people. One person was excellent, friendly and intuitive about what I wanted. The other person was glum and repeatedly kept knicking me. And when I got home I had to fix everything myself. I will be going back because my cut came out great, just no extra services."

"Admittedly I may not be the best customer because I don’t know exactly how I want it to look and I have a hard time telling people I don’t like their work, but I felt pressured to be finished in under 10 minutes which I think is objectively dubious amount of time for good work. It’s the third time at Gent I’ve felt like I’ve had an undertrained stylist without the experience to justify the price. Although I have had a good experience at Gent before. UPDATE I was encouraged by the Gent manager to update this review. I did come back after she reached out to receive a much better re-do from a stylist who was clearly much more experienced and did an amazing job. I strongly recommend finding a stylist who meets your needs bearing in mind “Any Stylist” may have little to no experience / ability."

"Gent Cuts and Grooming is fantastic full service shop! Haircut, full beard, trim and even hot towels! The store itself is comfortable, clean and a nice place to wait a few minutes for your upcoming appointment. Nick does an exceptional job and also helped me out with choosing proper products. I'll certainly be back in a few weeks for my next grooming service."

"Ben is the best stylist I've had in a long time. He is extremely personable and truly takes pride in his profession. The service and final product is superb. My only gripe is that this review will now make it harder to book times with him."

"** Update: after seeing this review, Gent did reach out to me and offered a free cut. Went in for the first time at this place and went to Mark. I recognize that I was about 10min late because of traffic (I did call ahead as a warning). The conversation and experience was fine, nothing to write home about. When the cut was done I didn't notice anything crazy because Mark had styled my hair in a wierd way that was not what I came in with. Upon getting home and attempting to style my hair the way I typically do, I realized that the sides were completely different lengths, asymmetrical, and where one side was short near the ear it was then longer in the back but still a different length than the same spot on the other side, which just looks completely wrong with a middle part (picture is not middle part but makes it easier to see the asymmetrical cut). Overall I will not be returning to this place, nor Mark and I regret the tip I gave him."
