"I’m a licensed Cosmetologist and salon owner that send several clients to this store daily. Going forward I WILL NOT be using any products from this store. On February 22, 2024 at 10:15 I went into Beauty Plaza and purchased an electric TYCHE Gold pressing comb for a photo shoot I had to prepare for that started at noon. The models and makeup artist arrive and we begin to create magic. Well in the process of all of this the pressing comb did not turn on. I had no time to leave the set and return the product, which really wouldn’t have mattered anyway because this is what happened when I returned it on February 24, 2024 around 10 am. I walk up to the sales clerk and handed him the bag with the pressing comb in it and said the pressing comb wouldn’t turn on. He pulls it out the bag and looks at it. He still hasn’t said anything. I said you can give me my money back. He said that he wasn’t able to make that call. He then turns around to a crowd of boys behind the counter and calls Hamsel’s name and states she say’s this is not working. Hamsel say’s hey Von, gets the pressing comb and ask when did I purchase it. I told him Thursday. Hamsel plugs the tool up and try’s to get it to work just as I did. About 4 to 5 min into trying to get it to work . He ask me did I know how to turn it on. I said yes and we even looked at the manual. He fumbles around with it a few more minutes and turns to me and says I got it to work and he touches it and then holds it out for me to touch. It was warm to the touch. He unplugged the pressing comb and tried to hand it to me. I asked ‘can you give me another one?’ He says that he couldn’t do that because he would be losing money. He holds out the tool for me to take it. I said I brought it in a bag and box. Hamsel goes to put the tool in the box and bag. I state to Hamsel I can’t believe that that as long as I have been doing business with you and your family that you would think I would defraud you. I have never came in here asking for a discount nor my clients that I send to you. But I understand, no I don’t understand your poor customer service. He says you think I have poor customer service skills. I said yes you do. He hands me my bag and One of my clients comes and stands by me because I’m supposed to help her pick out some hair for her appointment that day. Hamsel starts yelling at me saying “you think I have poor customer service skills naw you think I’m stupid, you just didn’t know how to get it to turn on.” I said “you looked at the manual what are you talking about?” Then he comes back and says “yeah you think I’m stupid” I asked “where did stupid come into this equation ? I said that you have bad customer service skills your tool didn’t work for me so where did stupid come into the equation ?” He said you know how I know that you used it because there is product on it. I said if someone picked it up to use it, buddy it still didn’t work. At this point I turned to my client and told her I can’t stand here any longer and will not help pick out any hair and a matter of fact don’t purchase anything from here because cause I will not be using any hair from here in my salon. I left the store and will not be sending my clients or buying products from there any longer. Electric Pressing combs shouldn’t take over 10 minutes to heat they should heat instantly. With over 2 decades as an experienced professional cosmetologist I know where the on & off buttons are to operate any tool. This store has lost a loyal customer plus my clients all over $29.99 plus tax."

"I went to purchase my daughter some hair. The clerk actually helped me so that I wouldn't purchase as much as I had in my hand. Most people let you just purchase to be purchasing. I really appreciated that."
