"If you go here make sure that you have the office ladies or the medical billing person check what your insurance covers before your appointment! They neglected to do due diligence on checking my insurance and gave my son a panoramic X-Ray which is only allowed once a year and he already had his. So I got a bill in the mail having to pay for the cost that was not covered by my insurance for this specific kind of x-ray. This irritates me because I should not have to inform my dentist what is or is not covered. It is their job to know what is covered before I even go into for my appointment. It is not good business practice to just do whatever you think is right, charge the insurance and then have the patient responsible for whatever is not covered. You are supposed to make your patients comfortable and not stressed out by knowing what is going to be covered or not covered and communicating that with them so that they know whether or not they want that service. I know what my benefits are and I know what is covered and not covered but it would have been nice if the office had told me that they wanted to do the X-ray before they did it so that I could tell them it was not going to be covered. I want to preface, that the hygienist did do a wonderful job and was polite and friendly."
