"I didn’t want to leave a bad review but after my experience I think it would be a disservice to future clients. I recently moved to Wayzata and searched for a stylist that specializes in precision cutting. When I called Silvie I was encouraged to schedule my appointment with Carly Haviland as “she is a precision cutting specialist and does most of the haircuts in the salon, even for other stylists”. I went in showed her pictures of what I like and dislike, my request was a blunt bob with no angle. I gave her the formula I wanted to use for my color so no issues there. She seemed very sweet and very confident in her ability to deliver what I requested. When I left the salon I wasn’t sure the cut was what I wanted but it was a Friday afternoon, she was off for the weekend so I figured I would address the issue Monday which is what I did. I sent her a text Monday morning to let her know I was unhappy and she said she would fix the cut and would get back to me Wednesday to schedule the appointment because she was out of the salon until then. She never followed up. A week later I sent her another text to request a refund for the haircut only, which was a first for me. That is not typically how I handle situations, but at this point I didn’t trust her. She cut a hole in the right side of my hair, gave me a very uneven cut with noticeably long strands and a really awkward angle in the front. I sent her pictures of my hair and included the pictures I initially showed her. She sent me a refund for the cut (Venmo) and didn’t respond to my text. It really shows how she is lacking professionalism and her level of immaturity. No apology...absolutely no response. I paid $320 for a cut and color and was hoping to be treated as a valued client. I’m very easygoing and have never written a negative review for a hairstylist or requested a refund. I do not recommend Carly at all. I have been left with a hole cut into the right side of my hair and a very uneven and SHORT cut. I will have to live with this until my hair grows out and I can have the cut repaired. I told Carly I feel very self conscious of my hair right now and she didn’t say a word in response. She is not to be trusted."

"These girls really know their stuff! I’ve been to a few different stylists at the salon and every time my hair is exactly what I want! They give you that Instagram model hair that everyone wants. I’ve done both the great lengths and hand tied extensions, I love them both but have been doing hand tied lately to try something new. Wonderful and positive environment. Would highly recommended to anyone!"

Their makeup and spray tans are on point as well. Sylvia and her stylists are for sure second to none! You will always get the best results you’ve ever had. If I lived in a different state I’d fly here to get my hair done by Silvie Salon!"

"I have been here twice now and both times I have been so happy with Madeline's work! I've spent about 8 hours total in her chair over both visits. The first time I had the bead extensions and was planning to get them lifted but when she told me about the Great Lengths extensions, there was no question I was changing to them! They are expensive but worth every dollar. She is very skilled with the placement and she's a great listener and gives you exactly what you want, you will leave her chair feeling refreshed and beautiful! I plan to fly back to MN when I'm due to see her again. It's a huge statement to say I fly from Arizona to MN so she can do my hair! But when I find someone as talented as her, I wouldn't even consider someone else touching my hair. She also fixes me up with highlights and a styled cut, luckily for her clients you can tell by her work that she really loves what she does. You will probably also meet the owner Sylvie, along with the other stylists working there are all amazing! Sylvie is so friendly, and she's a terrific stylist also! So much talent in this salon, and the people working here make it feel like you're at home! I can't say enough great things about this place, if you want quality work done come here and you'll be happy you did! The ladies working here are the definition of "Minnesota nice"!!"
