"Love my dollar general. Great manager and assistant manager. Clean and well stocked. My complaint would be on corporate, stop moving things around. We get use to where something is and u move it, getting as bad as Walmart"

"What a clean, organized and well-kept example of how your stores should all look. Whoever is running this store puts so many other store managers and their operations to shame. What a great example for all the nearby Dollar General stores to follow! Granted, it's a new location that only recently opened in late 2019. Things are shiny, clean, orderly--with very tidy zoning of products on the shelves. Employees consistently welcome and greet incoming customers in this store. Decent selection with typical DG pricing. Fast checkout, too. I even watched as an employee was attentively listening to an elderly customer who continued to go on and on about some matter of importance to the customer, which was altogether irrelevant to the employee. How very polite of her and how very unusual this scene was to see. I didn't mind the extra minute I waited because standing and watching this happen was so strangely wonderful. Frankly, I couldn't believe my eyes. As I observed, without interrupting the customer or employee, I realized that this little gesture on the employee's part was so clearly meaningful to the customer to whom she was listening, someone who just might be one who had no one else to talk to them at all in the course of his day (perhaps, it could be this way. I didn't and don't know.). I found myself appreciating that employee going out of her way with some imperceivable but extra effort to attend to her customer. Hey, it's such a fast world any more. Few enough people actually give others the impression that they care--about anything. Nevermind, too, it all too often seems like hardly anyone listens. Not "really" listens. Yet, here she was with her talkative elderly customer (who probably thought nothing of it in the moment), not rushing the elderly man away... to attend to who was next in line. I'd have waited even longer just for the gentleman to say whatever else was on his mind had he done so or wanted to do so. Mind you, it wasn't about how it caused me to have to wait while he finished talking to the employee even if it might have gotten me more quickly back home. It was not about a subject matter of interest to me either. Nor was it even that I was even an acknowledged party to their conversation except as ease-dropping observer. It was about witnessing an employee so naturally and warmly displaying a random act of kindness and without realizing anyone was watching her. If I had been a DG boss on TV's Undercover Boss series, I would've had to give that young lady a very big token of our appreciation for her service. To that employee, as a customer of your store, and a humble reviewer here, you've earned my greatest praise for a job superbly well done, along with my sincere gratitude for your unsuspecting and touching kindness to that elderly gentleman. I'm giving her my greatest rating: a standing ovation. Wow!"
