"I was disappointed with my experience here, especially after reading the stellar reviews on Google and Yelp. I did a lot of research on other hair salons before coming here and thought this was the best in town, but unfortunately my experience wasn't what I thought it would be. I'll list out the positive aspects about this place first, though. It's very clean and home-y (the salon is literally on the first floor of a house), and most of the staff are nice. It's a small but cozy place. There's plenty of parking around and the price of a regular haircut is average from my experience. Also, I've only received a basic haircut from them, so I can't speak for any of the other services that they offer. Regarding my experience though, I received a haircut from Jenna who seemed like she didn't like her job or how her life was going. I'm not sure of her experience level, but those things combined unfortunately gave me the worst haircut I've received. I showed her previous pictures of my hair length and style, hoping that it'd be the easiest way for her to get it exactly how I wanted since she would know exactly how it used to look. Unfortunately, the only thing she did right was the length. The layering wasn't very good. It's short underneath my hair instead of on the outer part of my hair, and the face framing also wasn't what I hoped for, and overall it didn't look good. It wasn't at all what I wanted and how it was in the pictures. I understand that everyone has to start somewhere and everyone has bad days sometimes, so you might not get a great haircut or experience every single time. I really wanted to love this place, but my experience here made me not want to come back."

"The haircut was fine. Washing not being included was a first, but that wasn’t my main issue. I just wanna say that if you’re gonna talk about a previous customer in a not so respectful way then maybe do it when no one else is around. I didn’t appreciate hearing someone being made fun of and it made it really awkward to hear all of the girls conversing about as soon as they left. I can’t help but wonder if I'm the next person they’re going to be making fun of after I leave the building."

"I have switched from salon East to Salon 222 because they are nice good at what they do. It’s just a fun place to be. The atmosphere feels so homey. They have re-done an old house to be a salon. You need to call ahead because they are very busy so I would make a reservation ahead of time."
