"My family and I really enjoyed this location. The service was great and the rooms were clean. The operations manger (sorry I forgot the name) was so kind and helpful. He in fact called his wife and got crayons and a coloring book for our 2 year old and she loved them. Thank you so much for your kindness. The lady who worked the breakfast in the morning was outgoing and kind. Very nice to visit with and the tables were all very clean. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms were large. The pool is on the smaller side, but my children still had a fun time swimming around. The close proximity to downtown, restaurants, the beautiful park across the street - make this our go-to place from now on."

"I travel for work stayed here a while. Best hotel I have stayed in Detroit lakes and in general. Beautiful location. Clean. Quiet. There's 2 great restaurants/ pubs in the same parking lot for eat n drink. The lake is across the street. There's a beautiful park. This is a convenient location. The lady at front desk with red hair should get a raise. Usually when I'm at a hotel coming in late night There's no one around to help me and if there is I get horrible service late night. Lady with red hair late night friendly and she's there at the desk everytime I came in all hours of the night. Great service. I will recommend this hotel to my coworkers and anyone else. The price is great doesn't cost an arm and a leg."

"Great experience! Great staff! Our family of 5 was here for a hockey tournament and needed more room. The staff worked hard to accommodate! Special thanks to Beth putting us in a room to fit all of us! And a thank you to Kristi who got our room set to with a cot!!! This place is very hockey friendly!!!! Thank you staff for making adjustments for a big family!!!! Will come back again!!!!!"

"We were there at the end of December 2023 (no snow), what seemed like their off-season, and wanted something close to Detroit Ski area. Basic hotel! Rooms are a little too small for 4 people with two suitcases. We had standard room and could barely move around the room. Very small! Amenities are good. Nice hot breakfast (and great employees working there during breakfast!!!). Really hot water for tea! (not work like in many hotels!) Clean and seemed pretty new! Recommend this hotel! Must be real deal during the season!"

"Really lovely new hotel. We ate twice at the adjacent restaurant and had good food both times. Nice sitting area in the lobby with outlets for working on a computer. Iced fruit infused water in the lobby. Quiet location if staying on the side away from the street. 2 downfalls, very small pool and the heaters in the room are noisy."
