"The food was sadly very low quality for the price. My almost $14 breakfast sandwich was burnt bacon on a very hard English muffin. I’ve had better at McDonald’s. So sad that the menu is so boring for such a very cute neighborhood café. The workers were on their cell phones and appeared too busy chatting and showing videos than to notice I was there to help me."
"I’ve really enjoyed both the Linden Hills and Penn Ave locations so I was excited when this opened closer to where I live. This seemed generic and cold compared to the other locations, lacked personality and felt like I could be at a mall or airport coffeehouse."
"Beautiful location and the espresso tasted fine. They said they didn't have the Turkish coffee set up in this cafe that's been open for several weeks. The baguette was hard as a rock, not in a crunch way but in a stale way. The chai has an overly floral complexion to it, clearly a heavy hand on the extract. Unfortunately I really wanted to like this place. Maybe it's a bad day, I'll give another location a shot. They weren't busy when we came in."
"The three staff members were friendly and attentive. One was wiping tables and they were all in a good mood, so the vibes were welcoming. The place was clean and the plants inside made it feel fresh and light. The Ras El Hanout latte was really good. It was lightly sweet but not too rich, and the spices were just enough to add a lil sumpin sumpin without being bitter or spicy or over powering. The ham and gruyere sandwich was tasty but the bread was a little tough, and hard to chew for my liking. A lighter baguette would be my preference, but I still enjoyed it. I will be back! Happy to have this new location in the area."
"Great little spot, so glad Cafe Ceres came to our neighborhood! Would love for more options for pastries and breakfasts like at other locations, supply was pretty limited for a Saturday morning. Good luck!!"
